Just don't look into emails from people you don't know, and nothing bad'll happen. Plus, the person needs to be very pissed to actually waste their time to give you a virus, which they can't do, unless you open something, like an email.

In theory, yes, but in practice, since messages go through Y!A and not directly to your email address, No. An exception would be if your Yahoo email name is the same as you Answers name so they could send it direct and you opened an attachment.

From here, no it would be extremely difficult for someone to find out what your IP address is to be able to send you something.
HOWEVER they could send you a virus through your yahoo mail/messenger. So be wary of any email or message you get that you do not know the person
