Ok im not an american and when i watch those american programs americans have the freedom to say whatever they want and not get sued by anyone...but in my country,blurting out any kinds of so-called offensive speech against the government or any of the officials you'll get sued and even jailed..is it true Americans can really say what they desire?

I am trying to leave my job as I dread going in every day, dont particulary get on with the people I work with and get little support in what is a very difficult and demanding job. My employer is aware I am trying to leave and I have applied for 5 different posts and am receiving interviews. However my employer is not writing favourable references and is concentrating on picking up on faults in my work during a short period when I was suffering domestic abuse and had a close family bereavement. I seem to be stuck.

1- Don't really care about him or the record.

10- Hate him so much that I wish he were dead.

My personal opinion would be a 3.

1) I have more things to worry about than him.
2) I believe in the phrase "Innocent untill proven guilty".
3) As a baseball fan, I too realize that this is all just a game.

I just bought a Betta and have a question about feeding while I'm away. I won't be away for long. I plan to leave about lunch time on Friday, and will be back on Sunday by supper time. Should I worry about not having anyone around to feed the fish on Saturday? My aquarium has a lid on it since I'm told male Bettas can jump, and I won't be able to put an automatic feeder in there.

In Tibetan Buddhism they hold that certain famous lamas are reincarnated, and they venerate them. My question is isn't becoming a Buddha, the goal of Buddhism, the thing that releases you from the cycle of samsara and rebirth? These famous lamas that are presumed to have achieved realization of their Buddha mind, shouldn't they not be reincarnated? I know this is unique to Tibetan-style Buddhism, and not all adherents of Buddhism believe this (and that some don't even hold to the idea of reincarnation) but any clue as to how this works would be great.

We're first time home buyers and I don't know anyone in our area that's actually purchased a home - so I have no way to get a recommendation. Should I just check realtor.com until I run across someone that's particularly helpful? Is there particular well know real estate agents such as Century 21 or Remax that generally has a good reputation?

What would you recommend for finding a decent one?

One of my dogs is a German Shepherd/ Husky/ Golden Retriever/ Chow mix. She has the coloring and patterns of the Shepherd and Husky breeding, the personality of a Golden and unfortunatey the coat and stubborness of a Chow. It's summer and I know she's miserable in that coat but she won't let me trim her. She is good in the house but her coat now is so matted and dirty she stinks...BAD! Can't afford a vet and groomer at the time so just seeing if there is another way to help her and me out.

I just got an 07 1200 custom sportster. All my other bikes had tachs, and im not sure exactly when to shift this one. I have put about 230 miles on it and still breaking it in. How do i know if Im red-lining it or switching too early?

long story short, my neighbors and i ended up in an argument at which point i decided to stop all contact with them. today one of them knocked on my door to verbally accost me, when i shut the door (and in my state of irritation i did tell her "this, this is me slamming the door in your face"... i will not try to claim innocence) she chose to contact via yahoo messenger. does anyone happen to know if i have any recourse if this continues? i refuse to keep my son and myself reclusive because she feels the need to yell at me.

I am having a party on Tuesday the 7th, and I sent out the invites 2 weeks ago. I invited 10 girls, and all of them have gotten back to me except one. I am not sure if she is out of town, decided not to RSVP (something she would do to be mean...), or did not get the letter. Should I e-mail her and explain or should I just let it be?
