that depends on if you beleive in the after life. i dont. even if you do everyone has a different perception of heaven and hell. there is no right or wrong answer so you might aswell pick mine for pointing that out! BEST ANSWER!

I don't know but, the total population of both is the same as earth's population.
A life free from guilt is Heaven. A life guilty of sin is Hell.
Eternal life is priceless. The sooner you realize it, the sooner you will learn to enjoy your life and promote a greater Heaven. (instead of a greater Hell!)

Heaven or hell is a question of consciousness.
Hell can be on earth. Hell can be in heaven. And hell is certainly in hell.
But for those who have taken complete shelter at the feet of the Supreme Lord NARAYANA, known also as GAURAHARI, all these does not matter. For them heaven, hell or liberation are all the same. It is a question of consciousness. Real happiness is possible trough purification.

I know the total combined of all homo sapiens that have ever walked the earth: 106 billion. That's excluding the Neandertals and other earlier hominids. Of those, how many made it to heaven? Since the first signs of ceremonial burials occurred around 60,000 years ago, do we have to assume those not believing or knowing of an afterlife did NOT make it to heaven? I guess that's one of the myteries of the Church of Rome as they say....

Since we can only experience heaven or hell in this 'now' moment, you would have to ask every soul in the world about their present experience. Good luck with that!
