I have recently begun to respond to questions in the Senior Category and while we know that Avatars do not reflect 'age', it is difficult to guess anyone's age. Based upon some of the questions and responses, it seems that the 'senior' age varies widely in this forum. I am just curious as to what you all believe is the 'age' for a senior. I am 54 and I don't feel or act or believe I am anywhere close to 'senior'. I don't plan to retire from teaching until they wheel me out of the school on a stretcher - I dance, I sing, I act, I still wear shorts, I don't have wrinkles, or reflect much of the wear and tear that they say I'm supposed to at my age. People have looked at me and guessed I'm about 39-45..I remember a lot of the past because I had family who lived to old age (97+) and I was very communicative with my relatives. I love rap, hip hop, pop, gospel, country - all kinds of music...so I'm just wondering when am I supposed to be considered a "Senior Citizen"? I feel blessed!

Why is it that people construe me wanting to keep more of the money I earn as greed?

Isn't it more greedy for other people to want what I earn for the hours I trade my life for?

Isn't it more greedy for people to not work and to expect a hand out for doing........nothing? (and don't tell me that some people just can't work--my bro. is as disabled as they come and he works a regular job and has bought his own house etc. He does get some govt. help, but he still gets up and does something for himself!

I'm not rich, I don't make 6 figures and I certainly didn't grow up rich or even middle class for that matter. My parents didn't expect hand outs and neither do I--I just want to be able to keep more of what I earn to be able to provide for my OWN family.

My son has lived with me for three years, the first 1 of which his father had custudy. His father made out temporary gardenship contract and I signed it. After about a year of which I still sent my ex child support, I stopped the child support and so he said he would make my son go back to live with him. So we went to court and my son (then 15 yrs old) talked to the judge and told him he didnt want to move back in with his father and the judge granted me full custudy. We'll now he wants to move back in with his father, I'm still paying on a loan for my retainer and my attorney. I don't think it is nessisary to go back to court and change custudy when he could just change his mind again. I've already said he could go live with his father and I wouldnt fight it. Can I make out a contract that is legal and binding for temporaty guardianship? If so how?

I have a 94' Pontiac grand prix se. the passenger side window will roll up from the driver side controls, but will not roll down. it does both for the passenger. i am thinking that it has shorted or a wire broke or something from the driver controls. and how do you take the door inside paneling off, isn't it just a few screws and or pins? if i need to do that to fix something on the passenger side i will also replace the speaker that is blown that is driving me crazy listening to it raddle.

I done a mistake with this boy, He liked me and he told me he loves me but I already had a boyfriend and I think he got so jealous and he was starting to do bad things and I think it was cause off me cause I did kiss my bf in front off him outside off his house everday for 2 yrs, why did he do that , after he left cause off me, I found my bf looking at nude women on the net and he did lie by telling the police that the other guy hit him and he didn't 7 years later I saw him and we both was just looking at each other in the eyes do you think he still got feelings for me

I picked the wrong guy the other person really does love me I think , I done so bad things to him to hurt him and I think he still got feelings for me does he still got true love for me

he missed a year of school thanks to me and he really got hurted cause off me and my bf and I know I done wrong but , how can I make it upto what hurt I cost him ... what happen if he don't want to talk to me.

Especially given the school dictrict is basically so bad it's useless? This is the total including County, School District and Municipality. The School alone is $3300. This is PA, what's it like in other parts of country?

I just cannot get the concept of hell, many believe ,Christians and muslims, in hell as a place of eternal torment, fire, and blah,blah. It just does not make any sense, why eternal torment for a FINITE crime? IT IS NOT JUST. Even a bad person, does not deserve ETERNAL PUNISHMENT.
Many christians think that only Christians will be spared Damnation, WHY WOULD GOD HAVE CREATED HUMANS JUST TO PLAY A SALVATION GAME?
I really do not get it.
I am not atheist, I belive in a higher power, and do not think this power has a place of fire and torment for non believer. IT IS INSANE TO BELIEVE THAT. Why do many believe such a horrible thing?

i'm a veteran of the active duty air force and my enlistment was up in 2005. i'm moving to boston this month. my husbands active duty enlistment is up in october. i was wondering if anyone knows about any veterans programs (medical, dental, etc...) out there that we could possibly assist us after our seperation? any advice is appreciated. thank you and have a great air force day. : )

In the last six weeks I've started trying to get back into the shape I was in during high school. I started out at 200 lbs and I'm 5'6", 28 years old.

First, I cut out fast food and prepared foods, began keeping a food journal and counted calories. I eat at LEAST 3 veggies a day and 3 fruits a day, and avoid refined flour and white rice. I went from consuming 2400 calories a day to about 1700 calories a day and lost no weight.

Two weeks later I increased how much water I drink from about 46 ounces a day to 94+ a day. I have stopped drinking any soda (including diet), drank limited amounts of sugar-free juice and low-fat (1%) milk. I lost no weight and my clothes began to feel tighter.

two weeks ago I began to work out- 3 days a week, 40 minutes each cardio (treadmill or elliptical) and 40 minutes of light weights.

I now weigh 210 lbs and my clothes are all tight on me.

Any ideas or suggestions why this is happening?
