Sounds like something to do with the sciatic nerve, you could have trapped it. Only rest and time will cure it but I find that Ibroprofen is the only thing that helps my back when it plays up.

Do you have someone else at home?
If so you can try this:
You will need to be on the floor, on your back.
Preferably, you will have a rubber-backed carpet, or a fixed carpet, as you want the friction component. they provide.
Lie on your back, on the carpet and relax as much as possible.
Have the other person kneel on the floor facing you and lift both your feet slightly, at the same time.
He/she can then hold the feet together and look at the relative positions of the soles. Under the circumstances, one leg will almost certainly appear to be shorter than the other.
He/She should then pull both legs gently for a few seconds, then pull only the one that appeared to be shorter. This does NOT require a lot of pulling force, and doing so would be counter-productive. There should not be so much force used that the body moves across the carpet.
A gentle, steady, pull is best.
While pulling a gentle shake can be used...something like a gentle wave effect.
After this he/she should check the feet again, and see if they now look to be the same length. If not, repeat, again pulling both legs first, then the shorter one, then go back to pulling both legs, and again use the gentle shaking motion.
All of this should take about two minutes.
After that stand up, rising as evenly as possible....and as close to straight up as possible, meaning no rolling to either side as you rise.
If you need help to avoid rolling to one side, ask for it.
With a little luck, your pain will be almost gone by the time you stand up, and then disappear within a minute or two.
This is something I learned from a chiropractor many years ago. I I have done it dozens of times on other people, and have had my wife or other people do it for me. It works almost all the time.

Yes it sounds like sciatica. Very painful sometimes for weeks on end! I tried everything for pain relief, painkillers did nothing, accupuncture was useless, physiotherapy may have worked, but my sessions were once a week and i couldn't wait that long. The osteopath just craked a few of my bones, then sent electricity over my back!
The only thing that worked quickly was chiropractic. felt a little relief after 1st session, pain completely went after 3rd!

In Chiropractic language, you have a subluxated lumbar vertabrae. Did you overdo it this week? Or did you have a lot of stress or work too much? Those are usually the reasons these things start. They don't come from nowhere - even too much sitting at work or at the PC can do it.
Exercise, stretch, use ice packs, get a massage and/or see a chiropractor.

It happened to me also, I also got pain through my whole body, and also in my fingers. I went to the doctor and they told me that I had nervous that pushed in between my spinal cord, if exercise cant fix the problem, they put you on a bed with your upper body fastened to the bed and your feet and legs fastened to weights, really. Every day they put some extra weights on until your nervous are out of your spinal cord, its not painfull but its frustrating lying on the bed all day. Some people get numb if its not treated so you should really go and see a doctor... Good luck

Sounds like you haver slipped a disk or twisted the sciatic nerve.
Take hot baths to ease the muscles, Ibroprofen pain killers will ease pain and ease inflammation. Go to a chiropractor and he will show you some exercises and give you a massage to ease the pain.
Its very painfull and once it happens once its very likely to happen again. (sorry to say!)

Sounds like you slipped or ruptured a disk. See a chiropractor and let them see what's going on.

Ok...dont know what that first answer is all about...but.......you just pulled something. Everything is connected in your body so you can move one thing and have something else hurt. just take it easy and stretch everyday...even if is hurts. Drink plenty of water and dont strain yourself.
