I have a 94' Pontiac grand prix se. the passenger side window will roll up from the driver side controls, but will not roll down. it does both for the passenger. i am thinking that it has shorted or a wire broke or something from the driver controls. and how do you take the door inside paneling off, isn't it just a few screws and or pins? if i need to do that to fix something on the passenger side i will also replace the speaker that is blown that is driving me crazy listening to it raddle.

It is either a broken wire in the drivers door or a bad swith.

Get a repair manual to give you the exact details for pulling the door panel. It will mainly tell you to unscrew the arm rest and pull it. Remove the door handle, and pop the clips that holds the panel on.

good luck.

it's the door switch.
if the window works fine when you use the controls from passinger side but not the drivers side,9 times out of 10 it's the switch.
if there was a short in the wire the window wouldn't go up or down.
look in your local phone book under used auto parts.
when you get there ask them if you can see them pull the part off.
now you will know how to do yours.
good luck
