When you are applying for Social Security Disability can you own property?

I have a friend that is fighting to get Social Security Disability in Ohio. Her parents bought her an acre of land and she put it in her boyfriends name in fear it would hurt her chances for disability, and I am not convinced it would.

Her boyfriend isn't the most trust worthy. I am afraid that he'll tell her to get lost and keep it before she is approved for disability and can put it in her name.

I think if it was in her name now it would not hurt her but if she waited till after she gets the disability then they maybe able to say something.

Anyone know ? Anyone have any suggestions on how to help my friend before she is scammed on?

Why do people get angry when a Biracial person is proud of their heritage?

Why do you tell them they are neither race? That is like saying they are nothing!!! Is anything worse than nothingness? NO
The fact is; you are what race you look like!! Halle Berry is black period because she is treated as black and if she was walking down the street ( and you did not know about her) that is what you would call her!!!

Why do you say we cannot be proud of either race because we are neither when we obviously look like a race?

Ladies, has this happened to you during pregnancy?

I've been on bedrest for the last two months but I still get up to go see the doctor, shower, get something to eat etc. Today as I barely stepped out from talking with my perinatal doctor, I got a sharp pain on the right side of my groin, right below my belly. Every time I take a step with my right leg it hurts badly. I know it's not the baby because at my visit I had an ultrasound of baby and cervix and everything is okay. Can you pull a muscle in that area just from sitting the wrong way when you are pregnant. I'm not sure if I should see a doctor or see if it goes away.

Question about Maple leaves/Trees.....?

My parents have a Maple Tree and the leaves have these tiny little teeth (pickers, tines..however you say it, lol) that are all the way throughout the leaf, not just on the edges, and they don't know what kind of Maple they have. It turns colors in the fall and the leaf falls off, like other trees. I have tried to do some searching online and just can't come up with anything other than the kind that the teeth are on the outside edges....any ideas?

Women! Waxing/Shaving? Pls Advise!!?

I have heard many girls say that if u do anything but waxing one's underarms (like shaving or hair removal creams), underarms become darker in color and the hair that grows back is coarser...
is this true?
but what is the alternative, if the beauty salons are very expensive, and i can't afford to wax as regularly as i should.
