Why do you tell them they are neither race? That is like saying they are nothing!!! Is anything worse than nothingness? NO
The fact is; you are what race you look like!! Halle Berry is black period because she is treated as black and if she was walking down the street ( and you did not know about her) that is what you would call her!!!

Why do you say we cannot be proud of either race because we are neither when we obviously look like a race?

There is only one race of human beings currently living on this planet: Homo sapien sapien. There used to be others, such as Homo sapien neanderthalensis ("cavemen") and Homo habilus, but they are all extinct now.
What you are talking about is ethnicity, not race. And I'm not sure what "people" you are referring to when you say "people get angry". I don't get angry with someone simply because of their ethnic background. Why would I care what ethnicity they are?

What on earth is a biracial person? Do you mean someone whose ancestry includes different cultures? If so, that's all of us. I am proud of all my antecedents no matter where they come from and I am sure most people are. Labelling people as belonging to a particular race is pointless as you cannot define a race in humans. People look different from each other, we all do. Some are short, some are tall. Some have dark hair, some have blonde hair. Some have straight hair, some have curly hair. Some have brown eyes, some have green eyes. Some have darker skin, some have lighter skin. There are minor genetic differences that decide these things but none of them constitutes a "race".

Embrace differences and similarities alike, we are all human.

"You are the company you keep". If you're basing a person's race on what they appear to be on the outside, that's very obscure and not at all fair. Think of Salma Hayek. She is of Lebanese descent but raised in Mexico. Without knowing of her Arab heritage would you be able to say that she is 100% Mexican looking and therefor should be considered Mexican? To most Lebanese, she looks 100% Lebanese, so based on your above question she should be Lebanese and not Hispanic although she considers herself otherwise. I believe it is the close-mindedness of closet-discrimminists that limit people's worth to appearances. Would a handicapped person want to be judged on his/her inability to walk? That goes hand-in-hand with someone placing another's worth in the color of their skin. I know many people who are bi-racial and are proud of BOTH sides of their heritage. They are lucky... two cultures, two countries and a unique look. Unfortunately, it's the bigots that limit them, not themselves. Be proud of all aspects of yourself, and don't hide one just because it's socially acceptable and you don't want to be a cultural misfit.

It is so important to have pride in your heritage. My ancestors originally came from Siberia, but I don't say I am Siberian, nor Russian, since my ancestors left Siberia over a thousand years ago.
