Hi, I got an offer to work 6 months for a staffing company names RANDSTAD.

Now the positive thing is that the billing company I will be work for has a good reputation and it is minimum commute. The down side is I've heard horrible experience with staffing company like they will treat you bad after you sign the contract, higher tax at the year end and the billing company will used temps like a work machine, or you will have difficulty being integrated with the permanent workers there.

This is not my only option and I can also chose to work at another company which is also nice, permanent, but 1h commute. I know people will find choice 2 much better, but I hate driving and I don't have difficulty to find another permanent job after the temp is over. However, if these stories about staffing, temp jobs are true, I will definitely drive 2hs everyday to get my bread. Thanks!

I believe that in 2003, instead of Iraq being invaded, real terrorist sponsoring countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Pakistan should have been invaded. We should have let Saddam stay in power and we should have funded him to help raise a real army so he could invade Iran for us so we didn't have to reinstate the draft in the US. Saddam hated Iran ten times more than he hated the US and he would have invaded Iran once he heard they were seeking nuclear power. Saddam, no matter how hard he went on his people, was a useful ally to the US and we should have never even have invaded Iraq in 1990 because he would have still been our ally and he would have still had a real army. I think Bush should cut all ties to the totaltarian government of Saudi Arabia, but he makes way too much money to cut the ties.

I mean, in 2007, what is the point of the Tories?

A (still) small bunch of white males going on about the way things used to be and marginal issues such as grammar schools. Can you imagine this lot being a credible government again?

I have a friend who has ulcerative colitis, which means she has horrible non-stop diarrhea sometimes and has to eat a restrictive diet. I truely feel sorry for her because of her condition and I can't imagine what she's going through.

The problem is that she talks about it constantly. We meet up once a week at a coffee shop and she is always updating me and our other friends on her health status. She'll say things like "I spent most of my day in the bathroom," or "I had an accident at work- it's a good thing I had an extra pair of pants." She has kind of a loud voice, and I feel like everyone can hear our conversation.

I want to be supportive and sensitive, but I don't want to hear about diarrhea over coffee anymore. What should I do?

My husband and I have a group of friends, some very close and others not as close, but still we see each other at least 8 or 9 times a year for dinner, parties, etc. One of the couples' daughters is getting married and we were the only ones of the group that were not invited. Frankly, I'm hurt, especially since I invited them to my son's wedding last year and they did come. I am not that close to them, but I felt they would feel left out if I didn't include them. Should I be hurt? I was told by another group member that the father's side of the family is very large, so they had to trim the list. Still, I feel they should have invited us. The next time we get together as a group, it's going to be quite awkward, especially if the subject of the wedding comes up. What would you do?

I'm sure they are salivating at the possibility.

I wonder what they will use as justification?

Maybe there will be another attack on US soil. Another 'Pearl Harbot' or '9/11'.

It would be very convenient - and a boon for this administration. People would forget all about the mess in Iraq once they saw how badly attacking iran would turn out to be.

If god, Jesus, Mary are so important, Why is it that you can buy their figurenes and pictures in the cheapest shops imaginable? Like THE REJECT SHOP, THE WARHOUSE, and the best one is OP SHOPS. They can't be that gracious if you can pay up to $5.00 for them. How cheap are they?

From wakeup to leaving for work: change phone plugs, go to loo, shampoo in shower, apply toiletries (deodorent, leave-in conditioner, sunscreen), makeup (eye cream, foundation, blusher), blowdry hair till it's just about dry (while styling with fingers), get dressed (shoes, stockings, skirt, top, jacket), jewellery on, choose what to put in handbag, grab keys, run out the door. No ironing, eating, turning on/off appliances or attending to others.

Lately it seems that no matter what I do the people arround me have no faith in me whatsoever.
If I say I plan to go to uni they laugh and tell me there's no way I'll end up going. If I say I want to travel they are exactly the same. It doesn't matter what it is I'm always being told that I'll never do anything by the people who are supposed to be encouraging me (my mother, boyfriend etc...)
It really gets me down.
I argue back and tell them they're jealous and that unlike them I'm not spending the rest of my live in the place I live now(and have lived my whole life) but it's still so frustrating.
I know I can do all the things I want to and I will wether or not I have their support but it would be nice to have that encouragement even if they don't think I'll follow through on any of my plans.
I'm just sick of trying to fight to prove them wrong all the time; most parents and partners wouldn't act like this.

it seems by some posts here that some christians decide to take it upon themselves to dictate who is a real christian and who is not, based on comparison of their own prerequisites.
is this a cop out?
these people might aswell admit that they themselves are the 'only' real christian.
is this a result of when self validation goes to far?
or fear?
