If it's very flat, you should see the Dr. Depending on age, you can get a helmet to re-shape the head.
It's very common to have some level of flatness, but should still be looked at.

OMG i know how you feel my daughter was the same way. My doctor told me to lay her on her side and switch sides everynight. Then his head will go back to normal. There is a little pad like thing you can by at babies R us. YOu lay the baby on it in his crib and it has two pads on each side of the baby so he wont move. I loved that thing. GOod luck!

My neighbor's nephew's head went flat on the back b/c they left him in the car seat all the time. He's now 5 and his poor head is still very flat on the one side. It looks funny.

when you go out do not ever take the carseat out of the car, do not use a stroller, get a front carrier and when your child is older a back carrier or let them walk, it will stay as long as you continue these bad habbits

well, i used to rotate my baby each 3 hrs on each side.and in the car seat also moved her head to be sided not to be sleeping on it.she did flip a lot but i rolled a towel and put it behind her back so if she want to sleep on her head she couldn't.

it is nothing to worry about howeverwhen he is awake try laying him on his tummy for alittle while everyday as this helps to releive the constant pressure from laying on their back too much

Normal- babies heads are softer until developed. Later they get hard.
