They say men and women are equal in Islam. Yet a Muslim man is allowed to marry a Christian or Jew girl, but a Muslim woman is not. That doesn't seem "equality" to me.

My Choice: Parker Monet...please don't say it is a boy name because it's a unisex name!!

I mean drool-dripping, raving bonkers.

I just experienced an unfortunate series of exchanges with someone whom I considered friendly.

And the more reasonable, patient and open I was the more this individual flipped out, literally.

Is it like an unstoppable chain reaction, once started it cannot be denied?

Or is it a response to rational, patient approaches that makes the individual in question feel even more panic, recognizing how their responses are not nearly as enlightened as the words they are receiving?

Why the rush to judge based on assumptions and misunderstandings and absolutely no effort to actually discuss them to determine whether they are reasonable or not?

The more I hang out here the more I realize there are more than a few who are not well-balanced.

Ok, so colour me naive, but I do tend to assume the best in an individual until they give me ample reason to think otherwise.

i have had these pains in both my hands for about 4 months from now. they became prominent when i started playing racquet ball. so i stopped it but i have to use the computer a lot and i think thats what is causing it. anyway the problem is that both the thumbs are always swollen and so weak that i cant even button up my shirt properly. recently my left index finger has also swollen and there is a sharp pain in my right wrist whenever i turn it(opening a door for ex). both the middle fingers in my hand hurt when i try to make a fist with my hand. they hurt where the connect to the palm. I started using a brace since 2 days on the right hand and the swelling on the right thumb has reduced considerably. the pain in the wrist isnt gone though. i have been delaying to see the doctor because I am out of job and almost broke. do you think i need to see a doctor? if so what kind should i see. please help me out. thanks.

O.K. ya'll its time for true confessions.I havent seen my family in many years and gave my two girls up for adoption to my brother and his wife 10 years ago.Last week they found out that my brother has stomach cancer and as of yesterday it had spread and today they had to remove a testicle.I finally found the courage to call him after all these years and when I called the hospital he answred the phone.I cried like a baby he said my girls are beautiful and that if i wanted to that I could go see him in the hospital.I never looked back after the day he got my girls because it broke there heart because they couldnt stay with me and I swore I would never brake there hearts again.My husband is taking me to the hospital tonight.I am scared and in fear that I will fall apart.I am clean and sober now and so afraid that I wont be able to handle this.I need you guys.Ya'll have been my family when no one else would be my family.I need encouragemant and I am asking ya'll for help.

It is always better to have smart friends because dumb friends usually lead you onto the wrong directions in life. Would you rather have a dumb person give you advice, or a smart person? Also, grades are very important to me. If I had to study for an exam and I had left my notes in school, I could go over to Flora’s house and study with her. Without her help, I would probably fail! If I was having trouble with the work in a class, Flora would be there to help me because she is smart. I know that Flora is smart because Jess is jealous of how Flora is overachieving (p. 5).

It is a paragraph from a book report, and the girl Flora, is one of the characters in the book...but any mistakes?

I have some difficulties tolerating milk. I can drink milk plain out of the jug any time I want to, sans complications. However, whenever I mix the milk with anything (in a shake or even over cereal) I become very ill. I can eat ice cream, but not fruit ice cream. Chocolate or other flavors are fine. My stomach becomes very sour, and I have wicked flatulence and diarrhea whenever I have milk mixed with other things. It isn't the freshness of the milk, either. I throw out milk about a day before the Sell By date, if it lasts that long. Normal milk (on its own) is fine, and tastes great, but I just can't tolerate it mixed with other things. PLEASE HELP! Serious answers only, please!
