The MRI would probably not in itself cause a migraine. However, positioning for the procedure, stress/anxiety and constant high decibel noise are causative factors. Also consider whether you altered your diet or caffine intake prior to the procedure and any meds you may have taken which could have caused the onset of irritation which then proceed to form a migraine

It is suggested that MRI may cause dizziness however I never came across any journal which has proven that.
Thinking about this, I think logically it can be that way as during MRI, the protons in our body is moving like mad from the effect of the magnets. But as I said, I never came across any journal proving this.

No, it could possibly give some people a migraine. The MRI scanner basically shakes the molecules of water in your body to get the image. But usually there are no after effects. If it doesn't go away in 48 hours - go to hospital or get refered. I assume you have no metal in your head! lol I had my eyes x-rayed just in case before I had mine - because I trained to arc weld.

It's quite common. If it was your first scan, you were probably apprehensive. The scan doesn't cause the problem. Rest and it will get better.
