Your right. I haven't done anything and I probably should.

Everybody should be prepared for the eventuality of a terrorist attack. SITUATIONAL AWARENESS. It is the duty of every American to be aware of their surroundings, and the potential threats other people could pose. Racial profiling?? You betcha!!! I don't recall that any of the Highjackers on 9/11 were elderly nuns of 3 year old toddlers. So why do the idiots at TSA ( stands for "Thousands Standing Around") insist on searching THEM instead of the swarthy middle eastern 22 year old with murder in his eyes?
Think of what weapons are PROVIDED to you on a domestic flight in the USA. A soda can makes an effective razor, a bottle of water in a calf length sock is one hell of a sapp, a simple ball point pen makes an effective lance.
Americans should be thinking of these things while flying, at the mall, or waiting for a train.

My friends and family have a scheduled meeting place and we will go together to a "safe" place we have already picked out. Both of my brothers are ex-military, and we all have our own weapons. Every year we prepare for hurricanes by buying bottled water, batteries, canned food etc.
We all live in a target area for terrorists and we hope our government Homeland Security continues to protect us. Each company and government in our area have emergency plans in place and continually train for possible terroristic activity.
In Texas, we still say "Remember the Alamo!", but today we should all say "Remember 9/11"! We won't go down without a fight -even hand to hand combat if necessary.

When you live in Hurricane territory, you actually tend to be prepared for many things. For one, we're armed and always will be. We also have a generator that runs our entire house and enough fuel to last for several months.
I always maintain a good stock of food in the event that we do have a crises and since we live out in the country and have well water, we should be in relatively good shape.

I am not worried about the remote chance of a terrorist attack and I actually live in a place that is a potential target -- New York City. I prefer not to live my life cowering in fear.
Do you even live in an area that would be considered a target?

I work at a hospital and was given something to ingest if the terrorists are walking down the street or are overhead dropping bombs. We have a whole system prepared as to where to go and what to do. I am required to go to my station at any hour. We have mock drills every month. Why doesnt all of this make me feel good?

What exactly can anyone do to 'prepare' for attack by a foreign nation?? I'm not going to stress about it, I do what I do with all things.....leave it in the hands of God.
Do you think they will be prepared for the street gangs? They may just be introduced to a whole new way of fighting when they come to our hoods.

The chances of falling victim to a terrorist attack are miniscule. I prepare for more probable eventualities - like an earthquake (I live in CA).

I have a first aid kit, but really not much else.
depending on what the attack is there isn't much i can do.
I hope the gov, police, and military will protect me but I wouldn't be overly surprised if things went wrong.
-for those who've said they have guns, depending on what kind of attack it is your gun might be completely worthless. not many terrorits go door to door or to residential areas at all when they attack-

You seem like a mouthpiece for the Dept of Homeland Security.
I'm not so much worried about foreign terrorists but rather the paranoid fools with all the duct tape, biohazard suits, and a lot of ammunition.
