If someone wants to move to the US but has something on their criminal record (ie caught with coke 2 years ago in the UK,) would it be impossible to get a visa? What about marriage? If a US citizen marries someone from the UK with a criminal record, could that person still gain citizenship?

He wasn't a dealer at all, he was just caught with cocaine.

INS has a pretty dim view of past criminal behavior, particularly when it involves drugs or violent acts. Marriage does not nullify the visa process.

,I suppose you mean cocaine and not coke for a soda,I am not sure how bad of a guy he was , by this I mean was he a regular drug dealer, if he was, it' s most likely he was blacklisted and that would mean it would be difficult to get a visa, if he was just a backyard trafficker, then he could still get a visa, the same would apply to getting citizenship, if a citizen marries a criminal, it depends on what is on record and where the crime was committed, if you come to the states and marry here without any criminal acts in the us , you probably will get citizenship after a long time of course, but if you commit the criminal acts here you don't stand a good Chance at even getting a green card, good luck

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aNSoC
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Yes, my girlfriend is from the UK and married someone in the USA. She had 2 theft charges and was able to get a marriage green card. However, she was in the states when she applied for it and it cost a ton of money. If you are currently in UK it will take a lot of time and a lot of money to obtain it.
