There is no denying that this world is "sinful" as Jesus witnessed himself.

Yet the answer that there will be salvation in another life is inadequate. This is because the source of Jesus's suffering, if it could be identified with other sufferers of the world at large, is also the source of Jesus's ressurection. That may lead to the conclusion that Christianity is only a transcendental religion, with no care for the reality of this world - that the suffering felt in this world is only answered by the salvation in another.

I am inclined to believe that Jesus had another message that would also make the life in the world important also. As the Bible states, God was good and therefore all that he created was good also.

So between the inherent goodness of this world and the world we know today, what are Christian's task in this world?

scholarship, she has a mild LD, with all that said she also has been a victim of incest by her natural father when she was 3 and my brother when she was 15, now she's into boys particularly the thugs in my neighboorhood, I keep trying to tell her they mean her no good and that she's nothng but a piece of a** to them, just a few weeks ago I caught her in my house with one of those thugs, I called the cops but that didnt do any good, he got away, then she has them climbing through her bedroom window for sex, I'm at my wits end, then last week she got kicked out of the summer program at the college, so I've decided to send her to JobCorps, hopefully she can get her life toghether, I'm tired of yelling and preaching, she's driving me crazy, I dont know why she is intent on being slutty...Can anyone help me please, I'm desperate.....

I am in search of ANY remedies which are natural and safe. The nausea my friend is experiencing due to chemo treatments (and high levels of morphine for pain) is absolutely torturous; present at every moment of her day.

I have a few ideas from my limited studies in herbalism, but PLEASE enlighten me with any ideas you may have. I am interested in anything from teas to soups, poultices to bath preparations. Her specific cancer type is: bone, lung, retinal and lyphatic.

I have flights from Prestwick to Paris booked and as I am only going for 2 days I stated I would just have hand luggage and no bags to check-in. It has just occured to me that with all the terrorist stuff I might have problems taking a rucksack with everything I need on board. What normal stuff is banned eg, shoes, toiletries etc? I purchased Cal Phos & Ruta from WA Homeopathic for my husbands gbm, we are use to Borion dispensers. Is there a dispenser I can pour them in so they are not tourched when they are taken each time. I tried to pour the pills into the cap but it is not working...they get caught on the inside rim of the lid.

Madeleine is barely mentioned anymore. She's only four and God knows what has happened to her - if she is found alive (as I hope she will be), she has a hugely difficult life ahead of her. Why doesn't anyone seem to understand it is the child that needs to be the focus here? And if you think the McCanns aren't concerned enough about their daughter - what makes you any better through the things you are writing here?

Can you please explain to me (preferably in a rational and inoffensive manner) what you feel is being achieved by continually making sick jokes, throwing about conspiracy theories and generally having a go at them?

My husband and I had unprotected sex the day of ovulation (according to those ovulation calendars and cervical mucus). We stopped using birth control and haven't been actively trying for a baby (using ovulation kits and taking temperatures) but we both would love for me to be pregnant. I know those ovulation calendars can be iffy...I used one that took the history of my last four periods. I know I have to wait to see if I miss a period (due in 5 days) but my hubby keeps asking if I could be pregnant and I don't know how much of a possibility is there. Anyone know how our odds could be? Thanks so much!

I have been doing a little bit of reading about this, so im in no way an expert on the subject (yet). But while looking at the equation E=mc2 I am thinking that it might not be possible to get to the speed of light. My reasoning behind this is as an object gains speed it also increases in mass. So if someone or something were to reach light speed it would reach infinite mass. Now as you gain mass you also start to generate gravity right? So if you were reach an infinite mass would you collapse under your own gravity?

ive been looking for this movie forever! like i said it take s place in the 40s, 50s, 0r 60s, but im pretty sure its the 50s. Its about this girl and her parents. her mom wont let her go to this music thing, i think its something like american bandstand or like the corny collins show in hairspray, but the girl gos any ways and her mom gets mad. Also their is this one scene where she is painting an abstract portrait of her best friend, and her best friends is holding a tuba, or actually it could be the other way around, that her best friend is painting the picture and the main character girl is holding the tuba. Ok so anyways in the end she ends up running away with some boy on a motorcycle but before she leaves she paints these words on her bedroom wall, those words are the title to the movie. I thought the words were somethign like Bop Rock Bang or something like that. So anyways if you could please help me out and tell me the name of this movie that would be really great. =]

my oldest best friend who is male has recently got engaged and his having a party but his soon to be wife hates me and they have not invited me to the party and most of my close mates have kept it quiet in the hope i wouldnt find out and go but word gets around where i live, so i was going to go anyway with afew friends but one of them slipped up when they were drunk and told one of his mates and he said i better warn him that you are all coming and that i better not cause any trouble.I feel like **** now the fact everyone tried to cover it up and the fact he intentionally never invited me should i still gatecrash and stir it up abit?

i have a mandated court appearance in minnesota so that a judge can decide on the fine i'll need to pay for a citation. i'm a student living in maine and there's no way i can be in court on the day scheduled (Aug 1). i've contacted the court and they've passed me on to the prosecuting attorney for permission to reschedule my date to during my christmas vacation (when I'll be in MN again), but the woman at the court said its unlikely i'll be able to schedule it that much later. I'm still waiting to hear back from the attorney. What can I do if I can't schedule the court date for a day i can appear???? Is there any way around having to appear? Anything I can say that will help me push my court date until december/january? Any advice at all?

Their crimes include shooting an unarmed man while on duty (the suspect was fleeing from them), and then covering up the evidence of their shooting. These were serious offenses, no doubt, and nobody has suggested that they should go completely un-punished.

In my university they are planning to ban smoking and their primary argument is that people devlop skills at university and use it all their life. However i have to come up with an argument against that. I am not able to find out what but my professor said that this argument and the ideology that goes with it is flawed. I recently slept with a guy that I met 1 1/2 years ago.He lives out of state (about an 1hr away) and is always flirtatous with me when we see each other. I feel that we both like each other but I'm not sure how much he is feeling me. He told me that he was interested in me last year but I gave him the impression that i wasn't feeling the same way so he decided to back off a little. By the time I told him I liked him he was already seeing this girl. That was 1 yr ago.We've kept in touch periodically and he invited me to new year's party and his birthday party and bbq's. We recently had sex and right before we were about to do it he told me that I could stop him at any time if I wanted. I spoke to him briefly the day after and told him that I didn't expect to have sex. he apologized. Do you think he's not sure how I feel and is following my lead or do you think that since I don't live close to him he's not sure about my situation and doesn't want to pursue a long distance relationship?
