You should've gotten a reinstallation disk with your dell; it's in the software package. Check and see; if you find it simply insert the disk in the CD player and follow the instructions on screen. Failing that; just go Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore and select the date you want it restored back to. The system will do the rest; just follow the prompts.

Dell computers normally come with a package of restore disks to return the computer to factory new. You should have got the package with the computer. It may be on your specific model they put the restore disk on a separate partition on the hard drive.

Open "My computer" and see if there is a restore disk partition listed. If there is you can restart the computer and watch the screen carefully as it boots up, it will tell you what key to press to start the restore process.

Good luck
