In my university they are planning to ban smoking and their primary argument is that people devlop skills at university and use it all their life. However i have to come up with an argument against that. I am not able to find out what but my professor said that this argument and the ideology that goes with it is flawed. I was wondering if someone who could help me pin point that. Thanks

That is a very flawed argument, because developing skills has nothing to do with whether you smoke or not. Smokers are just as able to develop skills as non-smokers.

They almost certainly have lots of other reasons to ban smoking.
