I have flights from Prestwick to Paris booked and as I am only going for 2 days I stated I would just have hand luggage and no bags to check-in. It has just occured to me that with all the terrorist stuff I might have problems taking a rucksack with everything I need on board. What normal stuff is banned eg, shoes, toiletries etc? Any advice would be much appreciated

All flights to and from the UK must declare all liquids, creams and gels and put them through x-ray in a clear, sealable plastic bag.

The total of all liquids must be less than 1 litre, with each item being a maximum of 100ml.

Part-used bottles larger than 100ml with less than 100ml left in them do not count and will be confiscated anyway.

For such a short trip, you might as well buy your toiletries when you get to Paris.

Shoes, electricals and personal items are fine but must go through the x-ray.

check out ryanair.com for full details of what is and is not allowed on board.
i use them all the time and have no problems, even bringing a rucksack on board with just a few clothes and NO metal items

Check out the home office web site (google it) and the ryan air website

we flew on ryanair to germany - there are rules now about how much liquid you take on board (includinf deadrant shampoo etc) and all must be in a see through plastic bag

Ryan air are so evil now - they used to be so cheap but now they seem to r4pe you for everything - credit card charge, baggage check in, insurance you have to opt out of

They're not even nice on board - the plane we flew on was decorated inside in bright yellow plastic - it looked like the banana bus you go on in magaluf..... sorry I'm rambling!

Just take your Deo, leave all the rest at home.
That is including nail-files, nail clippers, knifes, shampoos, all make-up and metal things.

If you are going to stay in a hostel or cheap hotel, bring a tester shampoo too, and if you need you can take a few samples of make-up too.
