I got married when I was 16 and now I am 37 and feel that my marriage has always been a marriage of responsibilty. I would love to move on and try to find true happiness and love but I always get guilt trips about how I am going to ruin my kid's lives. (They are 18 & 21). I feel so frustrated that I can't even enjoy life. Then there is the religious aspect that if I just get my life straightened up (no more smoking and drinking) and fully give my life to God that everything will be ok. I am not confused about what would make me happy and content with life but I am not sure that it is faIr to my family and if I am just being selfish. HELP!

The Watch-maker theory goes something like this:

You are walking in the desert, and come across a watch. Do you assume the watch just naturally originated there through natural processes, or do you assume it was made by a watch-maker?

This is the Intelligent Design advocate's way of saying that because the parts and functions of a watch are carefully crafted to do what it does, it requires a designer to make it that way.

Thus, because we are complex, we too must require a Designer.

You following this logic?

(o.O)

But I must ask, has anyone examined the DNA of a watch?
Has anyone seen two watches doing it in the bushes?

Without DNA and reproductive sex, there is very little evolution occurring.

Actually, there is no evolution occurring without DNA and reproductive sex.

A watch has about as much in common with us as granite.

Do you have any hoary chestnuts like this one you'd like to throw into the Tea Party's Lake of Fire?

I've experienced a flood in England, a drought in Africa, an eath tremor (quake whatever) in Canada and a huricane in Englang. Apparently when I was a kid sand from the Sahara desert was blown over England and deposited on peoples cars etc, don't remember that though.

I'm an atheist, but my bf is Catholic. I respect all religions and the people who worship them, but we always have this debate:

My bf admits that with the life he has led and things he's done in the past God may not be giving him a thumbs for them, but he says that all one has to do is repent and they'll be forgiven. He says that God will know who is really sorry or not.

But to me that sounds like an easy way into heaven! If people are not living their lives holy everyday, and doing things they know are wrong but just feeling they can repent for them later isn't that too easy?

If the apocalypse (if that exists) were happening tomorrow, would everyone be repenting until the end, hoping that God would forgive them? Why do they have to wait until there is trouble, why not just live your life right to begin with, or repent the next day?

Please no rude answers, but I'd like to a variety of opinions...thanks!

I just read the book and I'm confused about when Hermione was fixing his essay and he just says "I love you, Hermione" to her. Was he kidding or something? I don't get it. Can someone please explain it to me. Are they going out now?

Well, I know he is in love with her, and she has feelings for him too, but he wouldn't just admit it right there with Harry there too. I hope he was telling the truth though, it's about time they get together!! =)

Now before you all get all silly on me, listen... I know KC is somewhat down this year. But they always seems to play better when facing good teams. They could be the spoiler, and I am a little concerned. I know we have Rogers, Verlander, and Robetson this weekend---but still...

I'd be happy with 2 of 3. Your thoughts?

According to the genealogy of the bible, Noah who made the ship during the flood, was a descendant of Adam and Eve. Now according to Evolution there could not have been an Adam and Eve because we all came from APES. So with out an Adam and Eve.....there can be no Noah. With out a Noah there could be no flood and with out Noah to restart life there can be no Abraham.
With out Abraham there can be no lineage that produced David who was the Husband of Mary and the Step Dad of Jesus Christ.

So now there can be no Jesus Christ....

Oh yea, and there are no Jews either because they are a descendant of Abraham as well.

Gee, kind of makes Christianity hard doesn't it?
