Now before you all get all silly on me, listen... I know KC is somewhat down this year. But they always seems to play better when facing good teams. They could be the spoiler, and I am a little concerned. I know we have Rogers, Verlander, and Robetson this weekend---but still...

I'd be happy with 2 of 3. Your thoughts?

Well, Georgie, I don't want to sound mean, but I'm hoping the Royals can ruin your weekend. But seeing as how KC is 2-7 against your boys this year I think 2 of 3 is about a given. Actually, I think KCs best chance for a win is tonight with Meche taking the mound against Rogers. Remember you said you'd tell Leyland to keep it under 10-15 runs a game.

Tigers is about to sweep Royals as second time to sweep their division foe this week. All three pitchers are solid at the games against KC this weekend. Tigers had swept their foe Minnesota Twins yesterday with Ingle's winning RBI in 10th inning.

i could subject approximately complacency or a letdown after that Yankees sequence, yet i could nevertheless be stunned if the Royals took 2 of three. i think of this night's matchup will dictate the sequence - if the Royals can win at the back of Bannister, they are going to have a shot at 2 of three. If the Tigers win this night, however, i admire their odds to brush. i think of Miller-Greinke and Bonderman-Davies heavily choose the Tigers. The Royals could win this night, or the Tigers could roll in that sequence. optimistically the Tigers did no longer deplete all their offense final night!

Sure they can. But the thing about baseball is you never know. That's what makes the game great. KC just took 2 of 3 from the Red Sox. Who would have predicted that?

EDIT: To the guy below me, Yes, you DID sweep. And thanks! I used to love seeing the Yankees and Tigers play when I was a kid. Mantle against Al Kaline. Maris against Colovito. That is rarified air my friend. And the true meaning of baseball. Pulling the Tigers out of the AL East was a big mistake.

2 out of 3, no problem. But we better get our brooms and dustpans, because I can guarentee a sweep for Detroit!! This coming from a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan!!! By the way, does anyone know when Andrew Miller pitches again? He's my favorite Tiger.

As you know, Kansas City is a better team this year than they have been in recent years. However, The games are in Detroit and I really can't see why Detroit should have a problem. Best case for the Royals is they squeeze out one of the three.

With those three pitching this weekend - you better win all 3. I mean, come on. This is the defending AL champions. They have the best record in baseball. Taking 2 of 3 is like a pitcher throwing to third on a come-backer. It is easy to do, right? Right Detroit?
