I have bought hand held ones, and they are awful. I have used an industrial one at work before, and it is wonderful! I would stay close to that $100 mark. Get the kind that provides a hanging rack (you need it). Be careful of steaming toward yourself. You can get really bad burns! It is faster than ironing, too.

Buy an iron. More useful overall. Steaming has a lot of limitations and is actually slower for the same medium quality result. It's better than nothing but not as good as an iron. I'd only use a steamer if there was no iron available or in a situation where using an iron is physically impossible for some reason.

Not really you are better off doing that dreaded ironing you can easily make your iron work like a steamer and make less work for yourself by covering your ironing board with Aluminum foil then placing the ironing board cover over that, this will help you iron both sides of garment at the same time therefore lessening your time and energy to iron and your clothes will come out as if they have been steam pressed, crisp and neat looking, it works like a charm this method, just make sure that when covering your ironing board with Aluminum foil that you place the shiny side up as that side reflects more heat

Heres another version of what I have put above Speed your ironing

When you iron clothing, a lot of the iron's heat is sucked up by the board itself -- requiring you to make several passes to remove wrinkles. To speed things up, put a piece of aluminum foil under your ironing board cover. The foil will reflect the heat back through the clothing, smoothing wrinkles quicker.

Good Luck !
