I had some Chinese food in a restaurant last night, and choked
on some rice. I tried to cough it out. But I'm not sure that it did
the job. I went on eating, but felt something was still in the
windpipe (don't know the medical term for this).

Even today, 16 hours later, I felt something is my windpipe (more like the lung now). I tried to cought it out a few times, but to no avail. It's probably pretty deep inside now.

I suspect it's just 1 or 2 grains of rice. I assume over time, they will just disintegrate?

Is there anything I can do? Is this serious? What pre-caution should I take? Would I be able to do some cardiovascular
exercises, such as running? I am afraid breathing in big gulp
of air will just push down the rice further into the lung?

Above all, should I be concerned about this?

Thanks.

I have a simple question. My lawyer sent my landlord a demand letter stating that i was injured on his property and due to his negligence. Something that was left hazardous to the tenants for over 7months. But any way, the same day he got the demand letter. He came knocking on my door, and my mom answered and he said to my mom that "he got the letter and that he had went to his attorney and his attorney stated that he could lose everything because of this one incident." Than he said " tell your son just don't sue me for a million dollars because i will lose everything." Should I tell my lawyers about the encounter and what he said to my mom or no? Also why?

The simple answer to that is yes. But, the reasoning may be more complicated.
Prior to Iraq, it was clear to see that energy prices would skyrocket because of an emerging Chinese economy. Iraq, which sits on a major oil reserve, was under sanctions and not selling much oil on the world market. These sanctions couldn't be removed with crazy Saddam controlling Iraq.
Bush's simple solution was to remove Saddam and setup a friendly Iraqi government, one that wouldn't use oil money to cause trouble in the world.
What Bush didn't understand is that the bad guys also know that whoever controls the middle-east oil fields controls the world. They saw the removal of Saddam as an opportunity.
So, what do we do at this point? Do we just leave Iraq and let the oil wealth fall into the hands of the bad guys? Is there a workable solution to keep Iraq in friendly hands?

I can't see how it's a good thing that candidates are having to raise and spend so much money so far ahead of even the primary elections. I can't help thinking we will be left with only the best funded candidates rather than those who would be considered the best. Not to mention having to endure more than a year of all the campaign mudslinging and rhetoric.

I think I would prefer England's system where there is only 6 weeks or so between when elections are announced and voting takes place.

Jane Tanner, the woman who "saw" a man carring a child on the night Madeleine went missing said, in the beginning, that she saw a man carrying a "bundle" that MAY have been a child? All the Police reports and subsequent media articles stated that. Police asked if anyone saw someone carrying something that could maybe have been a child?

NOW, Jane Tanner is not only sure it WAS a child, but can describe the blonde hair and even the colour of the pajamas. She can also describe the man, right down to his shoes, even though it was dark.

So, her testimony has gone, in one huge leap, from a "bundle, maybe a child" to a "blonde child wearing pink pajamas" yet this seems to be brushed under the carpet? How is her testimony going to be used? Why are the PJ not homing in on these discrepancies more? And why not one single mention of this in the media? Should Jane Tanners evidence be used, or should it be discounted? Do you believe her "sighting"

yesterday I won and auction for a designer handbag, been after one for ages and was very excited. I paid via paypal then mailed the seller syaing how happy I was to have won and was hoping it was the genuine article etc etc. Next thing I get an email from the seller saying the item had been withdrawn as she had "discovered" that the bag was a fake. Do you think that if I hadn't mailed her in the first place, the bag would have been sent cos no questions had been asked?
