I dont quite understand what you are talking about. Maybe just get a rebond and that will do. Or maybe get the chemicals from stores like Guardian and Watson and straighten it so that it will stay.

Ok your problem is, forget the streightener. Even tho u can use all the sprays you want it still burns and drys your hair out. Now after you take a shower blowdry and brush your hair and in the morning it wont be wavy. If you want you hair really streight, every night get like 20 clips and split your hair into 4 sections, wrap them around your head and clip them, when you wake up they turn out pin streight. please dont use a streightner.

ghd are the best hair straightners but of course they are quite expensive...but if you want great results you do have to spend... to stop your hair from going wavy you really just have to dry it straight after your shower at night, then when you get up in the morning it is just a case of going over it with any old straightners (you are american so i doubt you will get the same straighening names as here in scotland).
P.s if you hair is naturally straighish this will work, however if your hair is curly or majorly wavy then you should just save up for ghds :)

I don't know about these types of straighteners, but I would just say don't make the same mistake that I did--I used the hottest setting on mine and over time I really fried my hair! Even if you use protectant sprays (I did) this can happen.
Good luck!

i have the EXACT same problem.
my cousin has a conair and she got hers from cvs or walgreens one of the two, and i straightened my hair with it one day before school and it works very well. eveyone whose anwsersing straightener questions want you to go get super expencvie ones but yeah try that one. hers is like a 2.5inch wide one. and its black.
