Ok so I am 14 years old... (15 in january) and my parents have been divorced for a few years now. I see my dad every other weekend, and I really dont like going to his house anymore. Quite frankly its getting old, and I need to stand up and say that I don't want to go anymore.

How do I tell him?

I'm spinning out of control (see previous posts for details) and am now fighting the urge to cut again. I don't want to give into this, but if it gets any stronger I won't want to be talked out of it.

Does anyone know of someone I can call to talk to NOW to help get me past this? It's not a suicide issue, it's not even parasuicidal, it's a faulty coping mechanism - but if I don't break it now, it is going to break me.

I am a woman who has been dating another woman who just told me recently that she has a solid relationship with a man who she calls her husband since they have been in a relationship for more than 10 years. She never told me this because she was afraid I would runaway from her. I tried to break it up three times but she would not let me and now her man/husband called me and thanked me for making her happy. I am absolutely stunned by all this because I do not date married men or women or date anyone in a committed relationship. I like her alot and she likes me a lot saying she loves me and misses me when I try to distance myself. Her man never asks to join or anything because we are both not into that but he made it a point to call me and ask me to take care of her and make her happy. This is not my usual dating pattern but I have found myself in it by her not telling me at the beginning that she was already in a committed relationship. What should I do. Please help!

MY four year old dog is as energetic as a puppy. Whenever we bring him inside the house he does not relax, and does not stay still. He runs throughout the house, goes through the trash and does not behave. We have tried taking him on long walks and buying chew toys but he never gets tired. We want him to come in the house and be part of our family more often . Any suggestions? Thanks

@ the spca, they said they tried all brands of chinchilla foods, and Skorch only liked CHARLIE CHINCHILLA FOOD. The thing is though, he doesnt eat ANY of the pellets! He is getting more picky and picky. Now he doesnt eat the little things that come with it. Should i gradually change his food or what! HELP!

In Virginia in the 1770's -1790's, would the established families of the time have acquired the distinctive souther accent that would come to characterize the south in later times? I have often wondered if we could hear a recording of George Washington what would he have sounded like? Like the Virginia planters of the Civil war era, or the British gentlemen of his time? Has there ever been any linquistic studies on when "American" English began to diverge from "British" English?

Love is always acceptable, no matter what kind it is. If you click on Arts & Humanities/Poetry, you'll be amazed. But it won't give you much of a clue.

In the above paragraph-type thing, is it acceptable to use 'but' to begin a whole separate sentence? I mean, in school, they stressed that it was incorrect to begin a sentence with a conjunction. But I use them a lot to begin sentences. And I've even seen them in great literary works. So what is the verdict?
