aww....u have stumbled upon the beauty of the finches. gouldians are an excellent pet and they are very simple to care for. u can google for care on gouldian finches and find out more about them b4 going in and buying them. gouldians are a pricey finch to begin with but if ur willing to go the extra mile they will please u in the long run. feed finch diet as well as fresh foods and give a nice spacious cage that allows plenty of room for flight. hope this helps.

I just want to add to what the others have said as it was all good advice. Know that the males are the most beautiful and the cage has to have plenty of flight room in it. Also to keep these birds at their maximum health they need to be fed live millet worms.
