I know a lot of experts are predicting this. Even Rush says there is an 80% chance she will be the next President because of this demographic. All I care about is January 09!!! BUSH CAN"T BE RE-ELECTED!!!!!!!

I think we can all agree that life on this earth is far from perfect. We also know that people die a physical death. And I would think from your vantage point that what comes after death is either nothing or a mystery.

God, through His Son Jesus, offers eternal life and escape from eternal judgment. He offers strength for this journey and the comfort of His love. He offers a beautiful dwelling place and peace for our future, as well.

As atheists, you say there is no God. So, what hope do you have to offer? What do you think about the idea of hope? And I am asking in all seriousness, not to belittle, but to understand why you have decided there is no God. And how does that belief make you feel about your life?

Okay I have been EV training my Blissey using the various power items while having it infected with the Pokerus, but soon enough the purple sign that said pokerus is gone and was replaced by a smiley face. I was wondering since I am in the middle of my EV training if I still receive the benefits of the Pokerus if the sign is gone. Please Help!

My 9 year old niece's dog Roger just died and is distraut. Roger was sick and old but had a good life when he was younger and was beloved. My niece asked me to explain where Roger went. I lied to her and told her that he was alive but left his flesh and went up to heaven to get well again. And that he would return in the flesh but only God knows when he will come back. She's doing better now because she has hope that she will see him again but its a fuking dirty lie. And shes expecting him to rise up again. I feel horrible. Should I?

Whenever I hear the song "Hello" by Neil Diamond I smell cigarette smoke. Yes, it's an old song, I know. It happens EVERY time and it's been like this for years.
Does anything like this ever happen to anyone else?

For the record, I don't smoke and no one I closely associate with smokes either. So it's not "real" cigarette smoke.

I live in the new york city area and really want to become an extra in a movie or tv show so i call up the postings they have in the Village Voice Paper and they are usually 800 numbers so i call and they always ask me to pay after I have given my address and phone number even when I ask in the beginning is this a paid service and they always say no and then at the end of the call ask for my credit information . was told by a mechanic that the knock sensor and knock sensor module needs to be replaced as well as have an additional 02 senser added.

The radio stays on when it cuts off so I know its not the battery

I'm asking as a general query, not directed at any specific religion, although it's prompted by a question about judging Islam by the actions of Muslims. In short---there being no actual objective standard of proof for any faith beyond, well, *faith* and subjective spiritual experience, isn't it appropriate to look at the EFFECTS of a given belief or religion on its followers as the only available evidence for or against it?

How good can a religion be if it doesn't make for better people?
