perhaps they have asked a similar question, or are using their question to answer yours! when similar minds get together, there's a lot of overlap.

I've only done it once. But the question was asked for the person. She was a little sad, so I asked a question just for her. Other than that, I've never done it (or not that I can remember.) I have answered a question when someone posted a link to it in their answer to my question... No problems with people providing links to other sources though.

Hello Moon! I don't think it's a good idea at all. one person got a violation because somebody posted a link on the question site. It was a link to a porn site. I would suggest you ignore it and do not touch. Also, that is just bad, I would never think of doing that. I have seen it happening a lot.
Moon? Will you forgive me for having to star you tomorrow? I don't know how I did it, but I am starless! LOL

I often give a link to a question I have already answered. Saves me from having to put the same information out over and over again. If you see a link to a questionable source however, run a program called no scripts just to be safe. It keep the website from draging you all over creation and filling your computer with spam.

I think it's a bit rude of the person linking to their question while answered your own.
I mean if they didn't get enough responses they should just re-post it.
I see alot of people linking to their own websites etc... that's OK for an email signature but not on here !

I think it's probably a solicitation in effect, and therefore a violation of community guidelines. Perhaps the Yamsters team should write a blog about it.

I can't remember striking it. But I'm used to questions answering questions. It was how my Father taught me to think.
