Judging by what’s happening in Congress and the words coming out of the liberal press, I think the War on Terror is the end of America as a super power and a great force for good in the world. They just have not got the nerve for the fight that was started when they themselves were attacked.

It’s now up to the rest of us to pick up where they left off and finish the fight for them.

It’s a shame because I love the US and its people.

To all the troops, both US and British. Keep going guys you are doing a great job and I am sure most of us our proud of you. I know I am. I am sorry for the mess of the government and the media.

ok im gonna play football in 8th grade and i wanna know what position i should play
i run a 4.7 40 yard
im 6"0 [close to 6"1]
145 pounds
able to jump up to 10 feet
i can bench 145,and squat 225
very long arms
can catch pretty good if im going over the middle but i cant catch the ball over my shoulder or anything like that
i can run a mile in 5 minutes and 30 seconds so i can run really well for a long time
i really want LB but should i play it?

My school recently built a new PAC. In this theatre, they have installed a new ETC Express 48/96 light board. Because our school is so small, though, we did not hire a technical director to run or show people how to operate the board.

My school has asked me to learn how to run the board because of my limited prior experience with technical theatre. I know basic board programming (adding/deleting cues, programming subs, changinging fade times, etc.), but I would like to learn much more , as I can only do very simple light designs with this limited knowledge.

If someone could give me step-by-step (button-by-button) instructions on how to save and load shows to/from disc, how to delete entire shows, and how to do other types of cues, I would be very grateful. If you can provide a good link on how to run the board, that also would be appreciated.

I work evenings and when I come home most days I don’t find any parking space outside my house. Today I came home and found a car that I don’t recognise as of my neighbours and a taxi parked outside my house. This taxi seems to be parked nearly every night outside my house. I couldn’t find parking space outside my house and had to park my new car somewhere else. I was so piss#d off I was going to slash the tires of the taxi. Can I report the taxi or does he have a right if he pays road tax, I live in the UK.

to invalidate science? For example...

I don't like evolution, therefore genetic biology is invalid?

I don't like the big bang, therefore astronomy is invalid?

I don't like radiometric dating, therefore physics is invalid?

The problem with dismissing a particular theory is that often times, many other things you accept in life rely on the same exact science. It's irrational to accept the science that enables electricity to be generated by a nuclear reaction and not accept radiometric dating which is a function of the same exact principles. Can both technologies be used improperly? Of course. One gives us a false date, and the other gives us Chernobyl.

Once mastered, critical thinking requires no more effort than employing scripture, but it makes you orders of magnitude more effective in a debate, so my question is, why don't you use it? It would only help level the playing field.

(and we'd drink a lot less.)

I've been married 15 years. We have a wonderful 14 yr old son. My husband works full-time. I am retired and work part-time. My husband has always expected me to pay the mortgage and all of the grocery bills. He does not contribute towards paying for our son's shoes, clothes, coats, school supplies, hobbies, etc. My husband pays the cable, the heat and electric, and the car insurance. He uses much of his money to gamble with. I have always been very resentful about our unevenly divided expenses, but my husband will not discuss it with me. He spends as little time as possible with our son, and our son feels very unloved by him. I stay with my husband because our son is so afraid that if his dad is not living in our home, he will not see him. Unfortunately, this could very well be the case, since my husband is very self-centered and has never really taken on the true role of being "dad". How would you handle this situation if you were me?
