My aunt is only 40 and has 2 very young kids that love her deeply and it breaks my heart when they ask "why is mommy at the hospotal". She has cancer all over her body and in her brain, and doesnt have much longer to live. Everyone is praying a lot and tried everything to help her, but it seems to be getting worse. I feel so bad for her kids not being able to grow up with their mom like most others. Why isnt anything working, like praying? I cant even say goodbye because she lives across the country and cant even move or talk. Its so hard dealing with this and watching my family, and her kids suffer. Please give me any type of advice that will help me make more sense of this situation and how to deal with death and my family. I have never lost anyone so close before.

Anyone else anemic while pregnant? It worries me. My doctor said I should be fine as long as I take my iron pills, and these BIG horse-sized vitamins..I take the iron pill, but I don't take the vitamins everyday, sometimes I skip a day. They're impossible to break and I CANNOT swallow them for the life of me. I'm going to the doctor Mon. and I'm going to tell her I need some other vitamin..but do you think I'm ok if I haven't been taking the pills regularly for like 2 wks?...I was already anemic before I got pregnant, but it's gotten worse. She told me some foods to eat that are high in iron, but I'm a very picker eater. Any foods that you can recommend that are high in iron that also taste good?

I am 15 weeks.

has anyone else noticed this?

you step in to an elevator and everyone intently focuses at the changing floor numbers, almost as though their very lives depend on it.
a stare so intense it could be the new source of energy.

why are we so scared to look around and simply smile at the person standing next to us?

i tried doing this one time, and the person looked about ready to have a heart attack!

i read somewhere, its because of the closed space that suddenly your "personal bubble" has been invaded, so you automatically feel threatened...

hmm any thoughts on this?

Commuting a small prison term and now considering a full pardon, Prez Bush has shown his contempt for the law and our justice system. I understand that the president has the power to pardon, but this power was not invented for our "leaders" to help their cronies, but rather was available as a last resort, for righting injustices.
Lie upon lie, this president is reaching Clintonesque levels of both incomptitence and falseness!
Should we:
1. Elect a democrat as a knee-jerk reaction
2. Keep dividing up on party lines hoping agaist hope for something better
3. Vote for Indepentants and Independence in '08 and make a real, worthwhile change and put the government back on the leash, where it belongs, serving US!

Just wondering if theres any famous actors or actresses who have been in the military. Id be more interested in current celebrities, or anyone in the 90's.

Ive always thought about being an actor, and I think I would be a good one. But I am joining the Marines and would be finished at 24, would I have a chance, or would I be too old to 'hit it big'??
