It needs to be eradicated - fully dissolved. It has been the root of violence and hatred for far too many centuries and it's time for it to go away as it serves no purpose. Jesus was not a christian and christianity has nothing at all to do with his teachings, so christianity is in effect redundant.

The fatal flaw in Christianity is that it is not the theology of Jesus, but that of Paul who never even followed and learned from Jesus while he was on earth. In its current form it is pagan mythology with a monotheistic wrapping on top. Its central premise is illogical, to wit, that God paid Himself, with Himself for the sins of those He created to be sinful.

I think any strict religious belief structure is the number one killer of man kind. Religious differences are the reason wars are started. As long as people continue to justify and perpetuate hate, intolerance, murder and other atrocities against their fellow man, all in the name of their god, there will be no peace for us, or any other country.

In all honesty, I think it's a really, really bad fit for Northern and Western Europeans and their descendants. It's not of our spiritual nature, difficult for us to operate, and tends to make us a little crazy.
Our own original beliefs do us more justice.

i think it is essentially a misogynistic, patriarchal pile of crap that has plagued us for centuries, that has resulted directly in the horrible painful death and torture of millions, that it has resulted in a miserable change in societies on a planetary scale, that its leaders are immoral hypocrites, that its followers are brainwashed sheep mostly, and that it totally fails to understand the idea that IT COULD BE WRONG, AND THAT ANOTHER SPIRITUAL PATH COULD BE VALID.
among other things...

Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship with Jesus. Religion is man's attempt to understand God. But God reached down to us thru His Son, Jesus Christ who we christians have Faith in. So, what I think of Christianity is that without Jesus, we would all die in our sins and be forever separated from God/Jesus in Heaven. But because God made a provision for us thru His Son's atonement for our sins, we are made righteous before God by the cleansing of the blood of Jesus. We just need to accept Jesus, believe in Him, obey and follow Him. God bless you

I think Christianity is not a religion. Its classified as a religion because it is a belief system but if you compare every religion to Christianity there are major differences. The biggest difference is religion believes that if you do good works you obtain paradise, heaven, enlightenment, nirvana, ect...Christianity teaches that there is nothing you can do to earn your way into heaven, it is by the blood of Christ that covers your sin and bridges that gap between man and God. To put it short, Religion is man's way of reaching to God, Christianity is God reaching to man. Thats a huge difference.

It forces people to do the right thing because they are scared to go to hell instead of doing what's right because it's right.

christianity isn't a religion (in the sense that it's not about rules and laws and doing this that way and that this way). it has those things, but thats not what it is about. it's about a relationship with Jesus.
