Absolutely. Humans are animals. At our basic level we react much in the same way as other animals do. We prefer certain foods just as do deer that browse and wolves that hunt. We have instincts to remind us to keep cool when it's hot and seek shelter when it's cold. We have pheremones (like hormones but sensed unconsciously by smell), just like animals do that help us to interact with other people and choose mates. As a matter of fact, we are so like other animals that some perfume manufacturers use pig and other animal pheremones in perfumes.

I agree with the other answers. Hard to believe but before we have evolved into these complex bipedal creatures, humans once we simply an aggregate of cells and from there we formed into more distinct animals. I don't know if you believe in a higher power or not, but I believe that our creator gave us all senses so we could fend for ourselves as we started to evovle. This is why a bird may have peripheral vision and a human frontal or panel. Simply put, we're all related...birds just don't wear ipods...yet. :)~Vic

of course. technically, humans are animals. we belong under kingdom animalia along with dogs, ants, and any other animal that u could possibly think of. there is actually an unbelieveable difference of only 2% in our DNA structure from a specific species of primates (chimps, gorillas, i'm sorry i'm not sure which one)..
we do the similar basic processes and activities that other animals do. we breath, we respond to stimuli, we reproduce sexually (although we're the only ones who do it for recreation rather than just for procreation), we grow and adapt to environmental conditions, and we have very similar anatomical structures with the other members of the animal kingdom.

Not only is it possible, it's guaranteed.

Humans are animals. It's as simple as that. We're smarter than other animals, but we're animals just the same. Many other mammals show preferential behavior and similar reactions (startled by loud noises, social behavior, etc.).
