The relatively recent abundence of free time in human life (in terms of the present back through cave man times) has a dual and seemingly paradoxical effect on us as individuals and as a society. As humans are given more free time (due in large part to mechanization of our society), we also have more free time to contemplate the how and why of our existence. Often these Q's lead people to an answer in God. Does anyone else find it ironic that many of our scientific endeavors lead us to this sort of contemplation? Should this ultimate outcome make for an advocation or a denouncement of technology?

We have 2 goldfish and for awhile the bigger one has been chasing the smaller one and beating him to the food at feeding time (well most of the food), during the last week the smaller one has been hiding at the bottom of the tank either in plants or under a bridge, this morning the smaller fish died. The bigger fish is ok but could he have bullied the smaller one to death????

My big fear about government sponsored single payer health insurance is that if it were enacted, conservatives would forever be cutting funding of it as "entitlement spending" and we'd never really get a good functional system. Kind of like how they short change veterans hospitals now.

They complain that government will screw things up and then they ensure that government does screw it up.

I'm 25 years old. I can run about a block, then I vomit all over the pavement. I swim via rapid motions of my hand in front of my chest whilst kicking uncontrollably. My friend was at his brother's home and he suffered a slight stroke, so he stayed at the hospital for 7 days. He was only 21 years old. About 11 months later, he suffered a massive stroke and was totally paralyzed for another 5 months, and succumbed to pneumonia. No evidence of strokes was in his family, so that seems odd.

my three year old son's skin on his hands and feet are peeling. His was away from home when it started so I'm not sure what may have caused it. it doesnt hurt him but it is the entire hand that is peeling and under his toes. what could be the cause and what can i use to get the skin off faster?
