Three story building should be fine with good router. Get good router like Linksys with N and range boost or Netgear with N and range boost. (Caution!! If you have ONLY 802.11a support from PC/Laptop none of these router will not function with your wireless card).

Keep router in as middle position as possible. Watch for obstacles around router wherever you place it. If router is near to wall, it will cut its range by about 40 %.

Whatever router you have put in link, I am not sure that is with range booster. You may get interference when you are little remote from router and if microwave or 2.4 GHz phones are on.

Other than that it should be just fine.

Good luck.

It is a low end household routers. Household routers are the low end of gateway routers. Having said that this is a light weight device that delivers minimal performance.

Most households use minimal performance units and end up having security problems.

Wireless signals, regardless of maker, are subject to blockage by masonry, metal (ducts), silver back mirrors, etc and it is pretty hard to tell you where it is best to place the unit. Try and see.

I would get a linksys or dlink if I were you...

A Wireless G, with power boost or something with linksys, so that you can be sure youll get it on all floors.

The belkin might work, but ive used belkin, linksys, and netgear, and only linksys has never caused me any problems.
