Muslims hate Christians and think that people from the United States of America are infadels and the cause of all their problems. At least that's what I see on the media so I really am not totally sure of their beliefs. But someone asked the question yesterday about Muslims being insecure and I replied with "I'd be insecure too if I had to stap a bomb to myself" and it got a violation. It was said jokingly, not meant to offend but the most suicide bombers claim to be Muslim. It seems a double standard to me. I guess people have forgotten what happened on September 11, 2001.

What star system did they come from, and how long did it take them to get here? And why did they make the long trip back home, instead of taking over this planet?

I have these beetles in my garden that are black in color with this soft rainbow colored shell on top that are eating my basil plants and petunias ect... They leave this skeleton effect on the leaves and I can't seem to get rid of them. There are a lot of them too. I don't want to kill my plants with sprays and I want to be able to eat my basil instead of the beetles eating it! Thanks for the help.

I would like to skip all of the gut reaction answers like "men do it too". I got it, it's clear that the phenomenon occurs in both directions. What brought this question to mind was seeing a photo of Salman Rushdie (60ish) and Padma Lakshmi (40ish)... and of course the obvious Anna Nicole life fiasco. However even short of that this summer my son is more heavily into tennis so we are spending time at country clubs. Even at age 14 he "laughs" at the orange skinned hard-bodied trophy wives and the odd looking, overweight or otherwise objectionable men they are with. He wondered aloud on the way home one day, how sad it would be to live with someone you had nothing in common with and weren't really attracted to. I was at a loss to explain...

I'd prefer serious thought and discussion only please. If a respondent would prefer to email off line that's fine as well. If you're a trophy wife and you can accept that I'd love to hear from you. Thank you.

I married 7 years ago...and very much in love. Still am. Two years after we married, his mom moved in with us. We had just bought a home and she couldn't pay rent to live on her own. She is 80.. His sister...and mom don't get along. His sister is a control freik, with every family member she has. From her husband down to her sons, to us and her mom...and anyone else she can get her fangs into.
Recently.she has been to our house..cleaned her moms room...complained how dirty it is.. She took our ashtrays and washed them all....and put them away. Said we shouldn't be smoking in the house. Well, we agree and respect mom, so we do not smoke with her in the room. She removed our throw rugs and put them in the basement, so mom don't fall. Hubby wants to tell her to take mom if we're not doing a good enough job. but he promised his dad before he died. My off days she comes and hangs out like she owns this house..Making me feel very unconfortable. Is it me? Am I wrong?

I have had recent re-constructive surgery and am delighted with the results. Is it acceptable to give a little gift, if so any suggestions? Or should I just stick with a 'thank you' card?

I have a 3year old neutered male, Oliver, and we recently got a female kitten, Penny. At first we thought he wanted to kill her, but turned out he got used to her and they play together. He plays a bit rough, holding her down and biting her, but sometimes he is also tender, licking her or letting her chase him and vice versa. He lets her eat from his food, but she is sometimes getting on his nerves so most of the time he hits and bites her (not injuring her though). Now we are leaving for a few days, so Penny is in a cattery. Oliver is back to his old self, calm, purring at us, which had stopped while Penny was here (he only played rough with her, he didn't care about us or cuddled up with me as he used to). The question is, is he happier with penny around or not? Does he prefer to have a play-mate or does he prefer to be calm alone with "mummy" (me), that he really loves?

I hope I'm wrong, but I have a horrible feeling it might turn out to be the worst casting decision in Doctor Who since Bonnie Langford was chosen as the Doctor's companion in the 1980s.

I was really looking forward to the Christmas special. Now I'm dreading it.

In 2001 I went in to a Honda dealership and paid (with cash) $15,000 for a new civic LX. Did I pay too much for it? It didn't really have many options actually. It was an automatic with power doors and windows, driver/passenger airbags, tilt, cruise. I kind of got a feeling that I overpaid when the salesman drove the next day to another city 45 min. away to pick it up and drive it back. And he seemed quite happy. LOL Oh well. What do you guys think?
