I am both a NASCAR and F1 Fan and I am utterly disgusted with the juvinile idiots from both camps who go over to the other camp and post rude, ignorant, and pathetic questions to offend and anger the other camp.

No matter what Sport, there are always a handful of complete morons who have nothing better to do they go and piss everyone off; and it is those people who should do us all a favor and disconect their computer, cancel their phone, and lock themselves in their house till they learn some manners.

I love racing; all kinds of racing. To say one is better then the other is simply a vain arguement; because NASCAR, F1, WRC, NHRA; they are all very different types of racing that require different types of racing skill. It is a matter of personal preference and to blantantly bash someones personal preference is just down right ignorant.

I only get defensive with F1 fans when they come into the NASCAR forum and try to talk down to it's fans. I've really been trying to get into F1 this year but it is hard for me. I understand the appeal to technology, performance and speed but the competition is lagging (in my opinion and I've had many F1 fans agree with me). It seems like there are only a few teams capable of winning any given race. I try to stay up on the Indy series and motorcycle racing as well. They are all so different you can't really compare them. I think many people are NASCAR fans from watching friends and family on the 1/4 to 1/2 mile dirt tracks all across the US. The technology and strategies are all so different that you can't say one is better than the other. The best in any of the series are incredible drivers whether you prefer one form over the other. I just enjoy motorsports and try to be respectful of fans of different types of racing. I will admit I'm not afraid to strike back when somebody throws the first punch though. I'm hoping F1 can field 10 to 15 close teams someday, I think I would enjoy it much more then.

Sorry, it's usually the other way around. I answer questions all over the "Motorsport" section and I never find F1 fans bashing Nascar in the Nascar section, only F1 fans defending their own sport from attacks in this section. There is very little "constructive criticism" of F1 from Nascar fans either, so it's not surprising that F1 fans occasionally go overboard when defending themselves. That's all it is though - defence.

alot of it (in my case) has more to do with nascar fans than nascar its self, i am a race fan, i admit that i watch nascar, and formula 1 as well as irl, cart, alms, dtm, sprint and midgets, wrc, nhra, and even bob sledding, luge, and down hill sking, i love racing!!!! i come here and hear how nascar fans talk smack about having the best drivers and best cars, and it just isnt the case in either catagory,

aside from jpm and jeff gordon none of the nascar drivers have a clue what it means to controle 4-5 gs of breaking force, or a chicane that has 3 gs left snapping to 4 gs right, but nascar fans usually dont have a clue becuse they dont watch any of it, they dont even realize that the indy car split is the only reason their sport is where it is,

nascar has its pluses, dont get me wrong as i said i watch it too, but compair any nascar oval and what it takes to drive, having a car that can hold its line, Vs eau rouge at spa, a flat out up hill climb just over the crest of the hill there is a left hand turn, you know its there but you cant see it till your in it, you cant let off , if you do the guy on your tail is going to blow by you, you take this turn at 170mph on blind faith alone, you have to hit this turn the same way for 70 laps, perfict or you loose,

no nascar driver has anything remotly like this but every day i see nascar fans proclaiming their drivers are the best and telling us how f1 drivers are nothing but pu****s and how the cars drive themselfs

Because there is so much going into Formula One to be different, faster, better. In Nascar, all their cars are basically the same, the weigh about 5 times more than formula one cars, and they all they do is go in circles. It is just a different type of racing and the two shouldn't be compared. It is just personal preference, so if you like NASCAR, that is fine for your taste!

I do it because on NASCAR forums, they bash F1.

I used to be a fan of nascar, until I realized all races were basically the same. F1 is more fun to watch, there are more elements in an F1 race than NASCAR.

NASCAR is overrated. Like most sports in america, there is too much hype surrounding it, I think it has become more about marketing than racing.

i do no longer think of it is often real... there's a ton of persons obtainable that like Tony Stewart... he's a foul a** ... and he isn't afraid to educate it. Media friendly? ummm he hasnt' been interior the previous. well mannered?? do no longer think of so. seem on the overdue Dale Earnhardt ... he wasn't continually 'well mannered motive force' or a suitable place variety... yet human beings Love him for who he grew to become into. youthful followers are going to circulate with the extra youthful drivers and not the veterans because of fact of their age variety... they are able to narrate to those drivers extra for that reason. they are able to continually watch their drivers strengthen interior the direction of the years as a substitute of having to % a sparkling fav. after some years and the motive force retires from the sport.

I agree with Rosbif, we F1 folks dont usually resort to "cross border terrorism", but we tend to gang up on the NASCAR fans who posts excessively pro-NASCAR questions. But then that's defensive.

F1 supporters are forever being asked to justify why we like F1. Quite frankly, we're getting tired of the crap from NASCAR supporters... understand!?
