Do people get violation notices for joking about Christians?

Muslims hate Christians and think that people from the United States of America are infadels and the cause of all their problems. At least that's what I see on the media so I really am not totally sure of their beliefs. But someone asked the question yesterday about Muslims being insecure and I replied with "I'd be insecure too if I had to stap a bomb to myself" and it got a violation. It was said jokingly, not meant to offend but the most suicide bombers claim to be Muslim. It seems a double standard to me. I guess people have forgotten what happened on September 11, 2001.

A bunch of uptight, self righteous idiots is the problem. Personally I like to poke fun at all the religions. All religion was created by man to have something or someone to blame for all their woes and if something good happens then they get to say their god smiled upon them. How about self accountability and self determination. I have never seen anything to make me believe there is a supreme being responsible for the world. Wonder what they will all think when the light at the end of their tunnel turns out to be a train running them down.

Whether the answer is right, wrong, funny, insightful or whatever it is that person's opinion and thought. Remember freedom of speech is for everyone one, not just you and those who agree with you. I would like to first suggest that you not take too much stock in what the media says about Muslims. You shouldn't put all of one kind into a small category. Not all Muslims look at all Americans as infidels.

But to answer your question, because to joke around about Christians is considered insulting them. Though I've seen enough insulting banter on this forum from all sides of the spectrum, and not all of it gets deleted.

Your answer, though some may have seen it as insulting to Muslims, was actually answering the question and was quite funny.

You can appeal violations here, but be ready to hear some lame excuse why they won't reinstate the answer or the points. Not to mention that I think there was a glitch in the system yesterday. I received several violations and a couple of them were disputable, and several months old. 6 of them on a secondary account that I used only in the beginning of my life here because I wanted to answer more question, that was private and had no contacts or fans.

I don't know, but whenever I meant that the bible says Jesus hung out with a certain "pay for favors" type of women, I get reported.

Most suicide bombers are muslim. Most muslims are not suicide bombers content on blowing themselves up for Allah. But really, the Unibomber and Tim McVeigh were white and probably christian.....

Most of the people on this site are good people who don't send hate mail. Don't imitate the bad things that people do. Anyone can report a violation if they're offended, so don't give offense. There are good people who follow every religion and good people who are not religious. It isn't mature or thoughtful to stereotype millions of people and it isn't productive either.

You should have gotten extra points for a funny answer; however, the Y!Answers SWAT team is not known for their sense of humor.
Also, it's my understanding that you can get a violation just at someone's whim (which is why they developed "TrollBlocker). If one person doesn't like your answer and "flags" it, then you get a V.
Yahoo! doesn't generally investigate the "complaints," but takes a person's word for it.

I don't think anyone's forgotten about Sept, 11th, but I think people are now able to remember what kind of country we live in (FREE) and are not willing to give over any more of their freedoms to prejudice, hatred or bigotry.

You can get a violation for just about anything here. The Muslims and the Mormons will get you deleted pronto if you say anything bad or in disagreement with their beliefs. They don't believe in freedom of speech.

I agree with you.
People seem to be either
1) Compulsive reporters, and abnormally sensitive
2) Silly, and can`t read properly, and create an offense.
3) Professional reporters, IE they have no life whatsoever, and reporting is a cry for help.
My message to them would be:
If you don`t like something, don`t answer, and move on.
I wish yahoo answers did not bow to the idiotic reporting.

Pretty you are right. We should not think more about races and events. Even if we will tie up our personal problms we will die under their loads. Sep 11 was an event done by dirty heads. Some says done by muslim Alqaeda under Osama, some says Jew to arrange fight between mulims and christians while som other doublt that it was done american secrete services to capture main heads of trade and energy.
