Ok, yes he will break Hank Aaron's home run record this year. It's unfortunate, since Hank is one of the games greatest home run hitters, but why is it that Bonds is classed as a great baseball player? Sammy Sosa hit 600 home runs, sports radio wasn't interested due to steroids. Yes that milestone should have an asterix, but then they said you look at great players, and bonds was clumped with Aaron and Ruth. Yes Bonds hits homers, but his body mass also grew massively from his early years in Pittsburgh. Bonds, like Sosa was drafted as a good hitter, but ultimately a speedy outfielder with decent power. Not until the performance enhancing scandals did these guys really start to jack bombs. Bonds' fielding has fallen even worse every year starting back about 6 or 7 yrs, and he doesn't have a good career average. I'm confused as to why this guy even is considered an all time great. I think his and any record broken buy a steroid suspect should have an asterix.

Not a hard laughing joke, probably old.

Once a woman was in labor; she was having a really tough time dealing with the pain. The doctor came to her husband and her and told them of a new experimental drug that allows the woman to transfer 25% of the pain to the father. The husband feels really bad for his wife so he decides they will try it.

The wife takes the pill and a few minutes later the husband says, "I don't feel a thing. You women are babies. Take another pill I can handle this." So the wife takes another pill. Same thing happens. Her husband tells her to take another pill. Same thing. By now she has transferred 75% of her pain to her husband. She is feeling a little pain but her husband is still feeling nothing. He is convinced that women are complete wuses. He tells her, "Take another pill. This isn't hurting me at all. Let me take all the pain away." So she does. Now they are both feeling great.

I read on-line somewhare that he was in Slytherin, but I thought he was in Gryffindor. This person's reasoning was because Sirrius was in Slytherin and they were best friends. I also thought Sirrius was in Gryffinder. Please, I need clairification. Also, what House was Hagrid in? I don't remember ever reading this info.

Ok im in a relationship with this guy and his really hot,friendly,caring and he tells me he loves me all the time. I have a 2002 2.0 L Hyundai Sonata and I need to do an oil change, but I am not sure if I need 4 qrts or 5. My previous mechanic said I needed 4 & my present mechanic says for the size of the engine I need 4 1/2 qrts to 5.

i have dishnetwork for TV and saw a commercial that dishnetwork is now offering internet service. i was curious so i just checked it out.........what a rip-off!!!

you have to pay $199 to LEASE the equipment, not even owning it. they make it sound like it's a good thing because they say that it makes upgrading easier. for $80 a month you only get 1.5 mbps down and 256 kbps up. that's ridiculously expensive for crappy service.

am i missing something here?

Ive been weighing myself everyday. And when I eat less I exercise more. And if I eat more. I exercise twice as much. There are days where I do starve myself. And others I eat only very little. My boyfriend is very worried about me. He says I should eat and not skip meals or eat too little. And I keep telling him I know its only for a little bit. But I can't stop I don't know what to do. I see myself in pictures and my mind says "You look so fat in that picture." And so I start to panic and I tell myself to lose weight, skip meals, exercise more & more do what ever it takes to change the way you look in those pictures. But my boyfriend and my friends told me they are really worried about me. Do I have some kind of eating disorder or a self inflicted disorder or something??

First, I would like to mention that I'm Asian but spent most of my life in Western society. My parents are Asians who did spend some time in US but has the Asian traditions.

My problem is this, I am currently a university student in US. Before I came, I had to chose a major and I was really into movie making therefore wanting to major in films. My parents are traditional so they believe becoming Doctor, Lawyer etc is good and was against my idea.

My parents fear that if I major in film and fail, I would be broke and poor and sees that I have little chance succeding. Instead they want me to take safe jobs in the future.

This is where I get confused, I have individualism idea therefore I think to myself why can't I do what I dream of? My parents say, they workd very hard to offer me education and if I do what I only want to do and fail, it's very rude.

I wish I had parents that are understanding and supportive to what I like and dream of. I feel like i'm living someone else's life.

If we gave everyone the power and authority to fix problems as they arose.

Many of the problems in the world could have been fixed in the first five minutes but the people present did not have the authority or the resourses to fix them. We had to wait for approvals and the problems escalated in the absence of
authority.
but small things lead to big things. Incentive and motovation snowballs.

In the service industry if a worker can repair the damaged confidence a client or customer has in a product or service by replacing or repairing immediately the defect then customer retention is achieved...problem goes away...confidence is restored and workers self esteem is raised. Giving the worker the authority has improved the service industry.

Would this empowerment implemented on every level of society improve our world. or cause more problems?

FIrst of all, have you ever contested a violation and what was the outcome?
I just received my second violation, and wondered if it is worth contesting.

Both times it has been within about 30 seconds of posting a question. Both times they were serious questions about atheism (most recently I wanted to "capture an atheist" and communicate via email.) Any suggestions? How can I get an atheist to talk to me privately? I posted my email address along with my question, and that's probably why I got dinged....but I only want to hear from atheists who are willing to chat via e-mail and *NOT for conversion purposes*. I truly want to understand. How can I do this?
