FIrst of all, have you ever contested a violation and what was the outcome?
I just received my second violation, and wondered if it is worth contesting.
Both times it has been within about 30 seconds of posting a question. Both times they were serious questions about atheism (most recently I wanted to "capture an atheist" and communicate via email.) Any suggestions? How can I get an atheist to talk to me privately? I posted my email address along with my question, and that's probably why I got dinged....but I only want to hear from atheists who are willing to chat via e-mail and *NOT for conversion purposes*. I truly want to understand. How can I do this?

I want to say: I have captured one, and though he is in captivity, it is only ONE. I would like to have a few more so I can get a more broad perspective on their views. I promise I will not preach to you.

Eri, I meant no offense. Was merely trying to be funny; also to let my favorite atheist know he was still my favorite---a Y!A atheist I already e-mail with.
To others of you, I am not looking for a date, am happily married, am a Christian truly seeking to understand; not interested in losing my religion (though find Michael Stipe suh-mokin' hot.)

I assume, you got dinged because your profile says that "User does not allow email". So, it's a contradiction that you are posting your email along with your question while your profile doesn't allow email.
What would you like to know about atheist that's not a public knowledge?
It takes just as much faith to believe in atheism as it does to believe in God. To make the absolute statement “God does not exist” is to make a claim of knowing absolutely everything there is to know about everything – and of having been everywhere in the universe there is to go – and having witnessed everything there is to be seen. of course, no atheist would make these exact claims. However, that is essentially what they are claiming when they state that God does not exist.
According to the Bible (Romans 1), an atheist knows deep down in his/her heart that there is a God and “suppress the truth in unrighteousness.” Though an atheist is blinded by Satan’s lies, there is a longing in every human heart (including atheist) to search and know God.

OK here is my take look at some of the answers that people post. Some will state that they are Atheists; or non-believer, if they do click on their profile. If they allow others to contact them via email then contact them. I am sure that there are a dew that are doing this

I contested a violation when I responded to racist question. I called the racist a bigot and was deleted long before the offensive question was. Apart from a form letter, I never receieved a reply and to be honest I don't know that they actually listen.
Feel free to send me a message.

I am 43, and I no longer believe in Christianity. I am a seeker of new reasons to define my spirituality. I would be willing to discuss what I have found since my discovery that the Bible is fictitious.
If you didn't block your E-mail I would have answered more directly. Feel free to use mine.

Yes I appealed a violation and won. They restored my points graciously with an apology. Just make sure that you read the Community guide lines before you appeal.
