....can these most prominant and influential investigative celebrities, be considered modern-day 'muck-rakers', on the same level of say, Upton Sinclair, who in 1906, exposed corrupt and shoddy conditions in meat packing plants, with a candid, eye-opening book, entitled "The Jungle"? (which quickly led to the formation of the USDA)
...or are they, to put things into 'bare-bones' basic perspective, merely manipulative, spotlight-grabbing, truth-enbellishing megaphones???
Granted, these respected individuals ARE most entertaining, and the revelations they uphold ARE compelling and eye-opening, but the more one looks under the covers, and behind the scenes, the more one can find the many holes, contradictions, exaggerations and misdirected truths in their supposed investigative findings.
...your thoughts, if you please!!! Thanks in advance!!!
