It's been raining lately, so I invited my friend to go fishing at 7 o'clock in the morning today, which is earlier than usual for me.

This morning we finally got started, and for the longest time we had no luck catching anything but moss. But then this guy comes along and first cast... He reels in a monster bass. I ask him what he's using, and he told me a spin bait. So I obviously pulled that out of my tackle and started going at it...

A few hours go bye, and I've caught a few 9-12 inch bass. Nothing too big. And just before I decide to leave, I thought I would throw on a buzz bait around this stump, and first cast I got a bite, but nothing... Second cast, nothing... Third cast, I nearly landed what appeared to be at least a 12 pound bass. Biggest thing I've ever seen at our lake. And wouldn't ya know it... I got it right up to the shore, and pulled it out of the water (without a net), and before I could grab on to it's mouth, it squrimed itself off my hook, into the water...

Hi,

There are many situation in which one may want to use MRI to determine cerebral blood flow. I want to compare groups or the effect of medicaiton. But how can I best do this using DSCE-MRI?

For example Rempp et. al. fits both the arterial input function (bolus) and the tissue curve (bolus)with a gamma variate. Then using fourier-deconvolution he finds the 'actual' tissue concentration curve.

But for me none of this is working. For example I have a Echo Planer Imaging scan at a temperal resolution of 1.5 seconds. If I just manually locate the arterial curve in the area of the circle of willis - and then the second curve in the (periventricular ) white matter I don't get nice curves - and they most definitely don't give great deconvolutions. The tissue curves are way lower than the artery curves. And the artery bolus-curve seems wider then the tissue bolus.

I don't know what to do. Is it an image acquisition problem- Do I need to use filtering?

There's this local restaurant/take out place called the Spiedie and Rib Pit that I like to get spiedies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiedies) and fries from...I usually never eat french fries, except when I go out to eat, but I'm worried that they might be using partially hydrogenated vegetable oil to cook their fries....I don't know if that stuff is just used by big chains like McD's and BK or if they use it to save money at most if not all restaurants for fries.

If you could shed any light on this I'd appreciate it. And do you think that if I called and asked, they'd tell me if they used it or not?

I live in upstate NY and I just wish they would issue a statewide ban on trans fat instead of just the city...it's not fair. Finally they pass some legislation I agree with downstate but it does not effect us.

I own a celestron nexstar telescope. I really don't know much about space and basically got it just so I could peek at the stars. I own three lenses with which I can get an awesome view of the moon but cannot see any other planets sharply, with my most powerfull lense mars is still just a very bright star. So I was wondering if it is possible to get an even more magnifying lens which would allow me to see other planets more clearly. If you have any suggestions or links it would be greatly appreciated

He makes the same salary that I do.( not alot) and has purchased a very expensive house in the new city. He has now decided to take me to court to get residential custody of our son. I believe it is all financially motivated. He has been trying to sell my son on the idea of living in the new city. He told my son that all he has to do is tell the judge he wants to live in the new city with his dad. I don,t want to make my son feel pressured by trying to convince him otherwise. I also don't want him to be persuaded into something that is not in his best interests. This new city is bigger than where we live and has lots of fun things to do so my ex is charming him with all the fun in the new city. What can I do? ( my son is 11)

Think if it as you were writing to the president suggesting ways or policies to encourage acceptance and or tolerance for interracial marriage. Whether it be institutions that work through the media and or community programs that encourage tolerance and the breaking down of racial barriers etc... OK heres the "deal" my parents are divorced and my dad has fallen in love ( again) and she loves him back so they become boyfriend girlfriend, and my dad my brother and I are living in a 5 bedroom house 3 bathroom house, ( but we could only live there for a year cuz we were " house sitting it " and we had to move we couldn't find a place so we decided were moving into my dads girlfriends place. and she has 3 kids, as the days past by i feel like hes getting closer to his girlfriend but drifting away from me, i feel unwanted. how can i stop this feeling?
