my byfrnds daughter is 2yrs 4 mo's old. she can speak very well. i try to keep in touch with her by talking to her on the phone but would rather not have to talk to her mother/the exwife too much.
if i am nice and social she goes in to issues of money/jobs/etc and complains about her life to me.
i don't want to be rude but i would prefer to just talk to the child and say a quick hi and bye to mom.

what's a nice way to say i'll pass on hearing about your issues

He is my best friend but I have only known him for a year. I already told him that I like him, in fact he was the first one to know. He said he was cool with it, but at the time he had a girlfriend. They broke up and I asked him if he likes me but he said that he thinks I have a great personality but would rather us be friends. His friend said that he likes me but when I ask him who he likes he says this girl named Veronica. I really want to ask him out, but I am afraid of him rejecting me or that it will ruin our friendship. What should I do???

I was at my bf's house and i got a phone call that i had to take in the middle of foreplay...it was not possible for me not to pick up..so anyways..the phone call got me really upset..but i continued with sex for him and because i thought itll make me feel better..
so anyways..in the middle of sex i made him stop because i wasnt feeling it and because i was rlly upset..
so he stopped..finished up so he wont get blue balls and by the time he was done i was crying so he came and cuddled up and told me he understands and all..

I feel happy that our relationship is strong enough and that im comfortable enough to tell him to stop half way and he'd understand...but i feel really bad..

not sure what the question is but i just dont wanna talk to someone who knows me personally.
anybody knows what I should do to feel better/make it up for him?

Science doesn't enter discussion about intelligent design, or astrology simply because there's no real evidence to say it's real...so doesn't that implicitly mean there's no god? (else science would explore it as it does everything else it can show evidence to be real)

I have four turtles in a ten gallon. I reeeaaalllyy want to make a huge aquarium for them (and add fish and cool things), but I dont know what kind of material I should get to suit my budget (which isnt too high). I really want to refrain from glass, cause you know. 'Stuff' happens, as Forrest Gump indirectly said. I want a sort of plexiglass-type material, but it cant be too expensive. Also, you know the support things on tanks? The frames, I guess? Where would I get those, or could I just make them myself for cheap?

So, please, if youve had experience building aquariums before (or not), and can list materials and the average amount per foot, that would be just dandy. Also, what should I do for a hood? I was thinking that if I really wanted to be cheap, I could stretch a bit of screen across the top of the tank and clip one of those desklamps to the side of it. Or is it usually cheaper to just buy an already-made tank?

Okay so today I bought Revlon's Dark Blonde hairdye. It didn't work. It just left my hair red. My hair is naturally dark brown. I really want it blonde, not too blonde though, just dark blonde. I really don't know what to do. Everytime I dye it, it turns red. What brand hairdye should I use? I really dont want to go to a professional, I want to do it myself. Pleaseee I need help.

My home made kite keeps spinning out of control, does any one know exactly why it spins?

I try to keep the strings symmetrical and the dowels straight, but no matter how much i adjust it keeps spinning out of control.

My hand made kite is a two stick kite, the ones that look like a streched "X", not the classic "t".
