He is my best friend but I have only known him for a year. I already told him that I like him, in fact he was the first one to know. He said he was cool with it, but at the time he had a girlfriend. They broke up and I asked him if he likes me but he said that he thinks I have a great personality but would rather us be friends. His friend said that he likes me but when I ask him who he likes he says this girl named Veronica. I really want to ask him out, but I am afraid of him rejecting me or that it will ruin our friendship. What should I do???

don't outright ask him, bc then it might get awkward.. if you really like this guy like you say you do then it will show by itself. just smile and let him know you can be more than "just a friend".. don't act like anything is bothering you. if he likes you too, then it will show.. it sounds like you're afraid of "shocking him" and ruining your friendship that way, so the best approach is showing your feelings over time. let him get used to thinking of you in a new way.

Was in the same situation at one time and the girl had liked me and all my friends were making fun of me and teasing about telling the girl that i liked her which i didn't. The next year we had started talking and i got to know her and thought of her as a friend but my feelings changed as we became alot closer. what i am saying is she was being patient and really respected my feelings towards her and was real with me. if you truly like him just be patient and you will probably move on or he might actually respond the same way.

He just wants you as a friend. He would have jumped you already if he was interested. Probably doesn't want the drama that would come if he broke up with you or if you find out he is dating or wants to date other girls, so it is much easier for him to put you in the "Let's Just Be Friends" category.

Oooh, been there, done that. I know how you feel.

It's a basic rule -- if someone just wants to be friends, you can forget about ever having a relationship.

And that's OK. Friends are fine too. If you can accept that, good. If you can't, don't be afraid to drift away. It's tough to be in your position -- heck, it almost hurts -- and it can be easier just to move on.

FLIRT!!! You have to show him your bod! Wear litle halter tops and pretty necklaces and stuff. But don't overdo it!!! Just a few accesories. You also have to hang out with him alot. If it doesn't work then make him jealous. Guys always want what they can't have!
