Why is the US (many people) afraid of building nuclear power plants to drastically reduce our energy source from coal and oil?
Europe is building several new plants and France (so called the great country) gets 80% of their energy from nuclear compared to 20% in the US.
Don't give me something that happened 20 yrs ago, technology and safety has changed dramatically since than.

My boyfriend and I are turning 20 at the end of this year, and we have been in a five-year relationship, and three of those years are long distance. I see him every 3-5 month, and I am to the point where I don't know if i can miss him any more than I already do. My parents will not agree if I decide to move to his city, while his parents will support us no matter what we decide. My boyfriend insists that we wait because he believes in us.

I really want to know what the majority of the people think of this situation : if I should move to my boyfriend and attend college at the city.

2002 Ford Explorer, it ran and worked perfect til this morning...it hadn't stalled or anything. But all of a sudden its stuck on P I cant get the gearshift to move, its stuck anyy suggestions? I dont really want to have it towed if theres any chance there might be something I can do. I've heard theres like a override unlock button, but I cant seem to locate it? Anyone with a ford explorer know WHERE its supposed to be?

I see so many questions that are asking why we believe something that's not proven. Well, here's the answer to that disturbing question. We have been changed in our spirits, by the Holy Spirit, and we just know. We can see another Christian, who is a TRUE Christian, and identify him/her right away by the light in their eyes. It is a sense that grows gradually stronger, as one's life with Christ does. It is something that has to be felt, to be appreciated. Having faith enough to KNOW in your heart, that no matter what, you are protected by the one who can create a universe, and create YOU. It's pretty awesome, and I'd wish it on my worst enemy!

Well, I have never met my father's family because he went around town telling everyone that my brother and I were bastards; he has also denied me being his daughter and forced my mother to go to court. My mother's family... I just hate them. They verbally abused me calling me fat and ugly, etc. My cousins completely ignored me and when I was living with my aunt, my cousin's friend had this huge sweet 16 and everyone in my family was invited, besides me. They apparently thought that it was funny. Since then, I have stopped talking to my cousins... and I am grateful for that because my life is somewhat better. My mother and I moved to California and my life is almost perfect because my family is on the other side of the country and I never talk to them. Now I just need to get away from my mother who always yells at me and who has BURNED me on the forehead and I now have this huge scar... and she wouldn't take me to hospital when my skin was sliding off my face.

I just got hired as a lab tech at a medical device company. It is an entry level job, and is part time as I am still a student. They are hiring me as a 'consultant' even though I have no special expertise. I assume they are doing this for some benefit of theirs. Will my taxes end up being more than if I were an official part time employee?

I dont see why people get upset when their favorite band is put on the radio. Thats how they get noticed and draw crowds to their shows. "The underground" scene is so silly! I listen to alot of radio, so if I dont hear you then your not good and you really have to impress me straight up! Thats the way its been since the music industry started!

I first met her on a blind date set up with internet personals, and we've been going on dates together the past few weekends. So far it's just been going out doing things with a little bit of making out thrown in there, but she's basically said that we might sleep together next time. Honestly, neither one of us is that into the other, it's just boredom and hormones really. And anyway, she's moving to a different country in a month so nothing could happen anyway. And I definitely find her attractive, and also, I feel kind of self-conscious about being a virgin even though I'm 23, and I like her alright and it would be fun, so why not?

ON THE OTHER HAND, there's this other girl I think I might really like in this class I'm taking and I'm pretty sure she likes me as well, but we're both shy, and I haven't really had an opportunity to ask her out yet... should I hold out for losing my virginity to her, even though it's not a sure thing, or sleep with the girl I've been dating?

okay first off I am 18 years old ... female... and my parents are divorced....... I REALLY NEED SOME HELP.I am a good kid... I have been working scene I was 15... okay this is kind of long.... and I am going to try my best to explain everything
my parents have money... ALOT, but i dunno if they worked for it or they were given it by my grandparents ....
my mom and dad DO NOT GET ALONG.. they both bad mouth each other to me, but every time i mess up they gang up on me... my father was told me things like " my mother is obessed with money and big d****" and my mother will tell my that my father is crazy and needs help!!! my dad lives in a gated community... has a new family.. n ever now and then he wants to talk to me.. i have an older brother who went to private school.. star football player...he is my family's pride n joy!! but then he got caught sellin drugs n is in jail.. buy my dad said he is more of a man then he will ever be because he is sitting in jail for his friend
