What is not known about Duncan is that his wit can turn acerbic in a pulse beat and his good guy image fades into behavior more becoming of a whining prima donna when he feels referees fail to accord him the star treatment he feels he deserves.

It was a different era,” Crawford says, reflecting on what became an infamous temper. “I’ve gone overboard and I’ve gone cuckoo, but what it’s always boiled down to is I just don’t appreciate players or coaches disrespecting my profession. I want them to respect my profession. I don’t know if they do. I hope they do because I respect the hell out of theirs.”

Didn't read the full article, but I don't respect the refs profession. Anybody can do just as good a job as they do. And Duncan is probably one of the most professional athletes around. I've seen plenty more stars whine a lot more than Duncan. Look at Michael Jordan. Watch his tapes. Probably the greatest whiner of all time.

This is the first time I've ever seen or heard anyone defend Joey Crawford. Other than that, all I see is one group of people who don't like Tim Duncan arguing with another group of people who don't like Joey Crawford. And I don't need to tell you which side of that fence I'm on.
Did you read the last comment? The most valid points presented in the entire piece. The blogger offers a lot of opinions but few facts and no sources to back up anything he says. Probably one reason he's a blogger and not a columnist.
Nothing against you, okay? I'm just not terribly impressed or moved by this.

PS--Are you still mad at me?

Hello there Spurs hater. How you? Bored?
' What is not known about Duncan is that his wit can turn acerbic in a pulse beat and his good guy image fades into behavior more becoming of a whining prima donna when he feels referees fail to accord him the star treatment he feels he deserves.'
LOL, that part was funny. .

I think the guy needs to self-edit a little better. Awfully long winded to make his point(s).

Another thing, especially regarding the part you snipped regarding Duncan, this writer seems to know what is going on inside of Duncan's head. "...when he feels referees fail to accord him the star treatment he feels he deserves." How does he know what Duncan thinks?

If you read down to the comments section; Joe Crawford's daughter comments on the article and the folks discussing the article.

For the most part, the writer appears to me to be a windbag.

It was interesting. Thanks for pointing it out.
