I'm attending a summer program at a medical center and they have us housed at a nearby college. While here, a t-storm occurred and my microwave & mini fridge got damaged (they don't work anymore) and my TV doesn't have any color now. I know its not the outlet b/c i've plugged my appliances into other jacks that do work and they still do not work. Shouldn't I get compensated for this or something? Should I contact the people that are over housing at the college or the people over the program? Thanks

hospitol patients to be put out at skid row. These patients have no were to go, no one to look over them and because of this the institutions that are suppose to be the healers are just throwing these people in taxis and ambulances and kicking them out at skid row. All because of money or lack of money. We who live in the wealthest nation in existence. Are we not going to be remembered by how we treated the poorest amongst us? They have thrown out people who can't even walk. How can we as a nation let this happen?

Four friends, who hadn't seen each other in 30 years, reunited at a party.
After several drinks, one of the men had to use the rest room.

Those who remained talked about their kids.

The first guy said, "My son is my pride and joy. He started working at a successful company at the bottom of the barrel. He studied Economics and Business Administration and soon began to climb the corporate ladder and now he's the president of the company. He became so rich that he gave
his best friend a top of the line Mercedes for his birthday."

The second guy said, "Darn, that's terrific! My son is also my pride and joy. He started working for a big airline, and then went to flight school to become a pilot.
Eventually he became a partner in the company, where he owns the majority of its assets. He's so rich that he gave his best friend a brand new jet for his birthday."

The third man said: "Well, that's terrific! My son studied in the best universities and became an engineer. Then he started his own construction company and is now a multimillionaire.
He also gave away something very nice and expensive to his best friend for his birthday:

A 30,000 square foot mansion."

The three friends congratulated each other just as the fourth returned from the rest-room and asked: "What are all the congratulations for?"

One of the three said: "We were talking about the pride we feel for the successes of our sons. What about your son?"

The fourth man replied: "My son is gay and makes a living dancing as a stripper at a nightclub."

The three friends said: "What a shame...what a disappointment."

The fourth man replied: "No, I'm not ashamed.
He's my son and I love him.
And he hasn't done too bad either.
His birthday was two weeks ago, and he received a beautiful 30,000 square foot mansion, a brand new jet and a top of the line Mercedes from his three boyfriends."

Or is there some kind of cosmic rule against it, and doing so could cause the undoing of the entire universe. Because I wouldn't really like to be the one responsible for that, or maybe I would.

These are things dogs could teach us.....

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a ride.
When it's in your best interest, practice obediance.
Let others know when they have invaded your territory.
Take naps and stretch before rising.
Run, romp and play daily.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.
When you are happy, dance and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you are scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout...run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you are not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

In my last question, I got this "brilliant reply"

"Obviously the marriage tradition was handed down with the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve which would cover EVERY human from creation on."

Evidence? Also, what other tradition has been handed down from Adam and Eve?

And why is Adam and Eve only spoken about in the desert of Isreal? Why don't the Chinese or Native Americans speak about Adam and Eve? They can hand down marriage but not the story of the first people?
