Of course not! In fact, I'm amazed that we don't commonly see Anglo Americans named that, and have their name pronunced, "Jesus," with a "J" sound. After all, we have Peter, Paul, John, Luke, & Matt in abundance. (Not many named Judas, though...)
Next time I have a kid, I think I'll name him Jesus!

no. a name doesn't make a person. besides there were lots of "Jesus's" around. Jesus is either the latin or greek translation of his name... i forget the spelling but it was very common. now if someone took the name of the Lord then yes i would be offended. because his name is scared. so sacred that Jews won't even write it in it's proper spelling, though Christians are a little more bold.

Actually, they name their sons Jesús, but they call them "Chewy". I'm not sure why, but any hispanic will tell you that's true! And it's not the name Jesus that is "sacred" but Christ.

Jesus was a common name in the times of Jesus. You can even read about different Jesus' in The Works of Josephus and other history books.
Add "Christ" to that and it's a different story.

What a goofy question.
Would they get offended by Peter, Paul or Mary?
Pedro, Paulo or Maria?
Not likely.

Nope, I used to wonder about that, but it's not an issue with any Christians I know -- and I myself, as a Christian, don't see anything wrong with it.

I'm not.
BTW, Jesus was a common name back in the day...when Jesus of Nazareth was born. That is why there is usually clarification.

I am offended by that because Jesus of Nazareth has a unique name and no mexican baby is anything like him. It's an inappropriate cultural and religious practice.
