help your daddy to improve his coffees! ask for starbucks recipes and start experimenting until you get the same flavors.
It would be fun, you will get the coffee for free and in the process help your family.

Maybe offer to come up with some coffee drinks he doesn't have on the menu yet? You're in the Starbucks market, you might be able to help push his sales with new ideas!
Otherwise just have a Starbucks when he's not around. But every once in a while have something at his place.

promise to buy a drink from your father's coffee shop when you get a starbucks. that way you are neutral. I'll tell you what though. Percentage wise, the business you give your father is priceless compared to the relatively insignificant business yoiu give a big corporation like Starbucks.

Drink Starbucks anyway. Your dads shop will go out of business in no-time wether you do or not. Sh** happens. Starbucks is too big. I've been to websites and heard many stories of Starbucks taking over without guilt.

Go to your dads coffee shop, and starbucks. That way you wont hurt his feelings and you get the coffee you like!

Hide the Starbucks cups when he is around or buy his coffee dump it out and fill it with Starbucks that way you are both happy.

Buy the starbucks....pour it into your dads cups (gently coffee is hot you dont want to burn yourself) toss out the starbucks cup. Dad will never know the difference!!!!

Drink from your dads shop when there, and if you are out of town, starbucks. maybe suggust to him changes to make it more likable than starbucks-
cheaper
fat free whipped creme
more flavors :)

tell your dad to get better coffee. i hate those little coffee shops that use the crappiest of crap beans. atleast with starbucks, you know what your getting. plus, they are one of the best companies to work for.
