We are in Illinois. My friend has received two bids for her roof. They are only $400 apart. Both roofers are insured but only one is licensed. What does the license actually mean and how important is it? Thanks.

We have had nothing but trouble getting Sears to come out on a Service call. We have Extended Service Contracts with them and they make us wait 2 to 3 weeks to come out to repair our washer or do maintenance service on our air conditioning! Many times they never show up and when we call-several times- they say the tech is backed up .Finally afterr 4 or 5 calls they tell us it was canceled as they had no tech available. Recently our washer needed major repair to the tune $500 in parts and labor. They didn't show up 3 times and when they did they fixed it. Today the washer dumped water all over the place again. We called and explained the situation and got nowhere! Now we have to wait 2 more weeks for the tech to show up. If he comes at all. We asked if they could send someone soon to ok a new washer . We were told that we had to wait for the tech to say that we need a replacement! I emailed customer service.No one gets back to me. What should we do?

My boyfriend and I don't like going places where there are big crowds, but we just like spending time together. What could we do that is inexpensive and fun? We can't go to the park at night anymore because about a week ago a pregnant woman got shot in the stomach at a park near where I live so my mom doesn't want me to go late anymore. I am 16, by the way. Please help!

uhm i have problems sleeping and my friend gave me a blood pressure pill called clonodine and it makes u very sleepy thats why she gave it to me i think its 10 mg but i was wondering if it could hurt or possibly kill me if i took ONE jus to help me go to sleep because i am always ending up falling asleep at like 5 to 10 am and get up at 12 or so...but could u please help me and let me know if it is ok?

I was pulled over because the cop said he thought my plates were expired. My bf was asked who he was and he gave his cousin's name cause he'd been drinking. They found out who he was and arrested him because he refused a breathalyzer, and was hesitant on most of the things he'd said. But they really had no reason to pull me over to begin with cause all my stuff was current. can they do that?

The Grandfather Paradox is a contradiciton in the theory of time travel. It proposes the hypothetical situation of a man who goes back in time and kills his grandfather before his grandfather would have met his grandmother. This means the man travelling back in time never would have existed, meaning he could never have lived to go back in time in the first place. Doesn't this suggest that time travel is impossible becasue any alteration of the past would lead to different circumstances in the future?

I am 23,i have a girlfriend.When i was in highschool i had an affair with a married man.Anyway he came back after moving away a few years ago and wants to pick up were we left off,but he left me hey!
I am happy with my girlfriend,hes bugging me.The fool has booked us(he and i)a holiday in august.I so dont want to go.He really is asking for a painful death.
I ignore his calls and delete his texts(HOW DID HE GET MY MOBILE NUMBER)
Whenever i am out he comes up to me and starts talking,i just smile,say hi then say i am busy and leave.Why cant he take the hint that he should get lost already?
Maybe i should hire a hitman..(not serious,but sometimes i feel like banging my own head on a brick wall).

What am I doing wrong? This is the 3rd Taurus I have been interested in and I'm starting to wonder. Seriously, as we work up to a date, they flatter me with comments about how good I look, how much they enjoy talking to me, we get on famously, we talk non-stop, we seem very interested in each other and our lives, but then after a date, they seem overwhelmed and often retreat. why rely on some made up person you've never met. that's like....say I went looking for a date on the internet, then I see this guy, we spend 2 years talking. that whole time he's asking where I live.
