My boyfriend and I don't like going places where there are big crowds, but we just like spending time together. What could we do that is inexpensive and fun? We can't go to the park at night anymore because about a week ago a pregnant woman got shot in the stomach at a park near where I live so my mom doesn't want me to go late anymore. I am 16, by the way. Please help!

Well bridgette your mum is right.Dark places are unsafe. So I know you don't like crowds, but just walking the streets, holding hands and window shopping can be fun.Even better it's safe

Over in the UK, we have "nature reserves", which are like parks, but there are lots more trees and wildlife, as opposed to big open spaces.

I don't know if there's anything similar over in the USA (but being in Texas, it shouldn't be that hard..), but if there are, these are ideal.

People interested in Birdwatching are the only people that you would encounter in these places, so it'll be nice and quiet (as well as romantic and secluded, *wink* *wink*)

I've included a link to the American Birding Association, which may be able to help you find somewhere like this, near you. If not, then I hope to have put you on the right track....

Good luck, Citi

Well how about taking a radio outside somehere and dancing in the moonlight or just in the dark of night? Or even in an empty garage. As long as you are together any place private can be romantic. A little candlelight, soft music, sit and stare at one another under the stars !
