I have a betta, and in order to clean his tank, I usually just scoop him out with a net and put him into a bowl. However, today, instead of going into the bowl as usual, he fell straight onto the floor (a 3 foot drop). He layed there, completely motionless. I put him in the bowl, but he didn't move for quite a while unless I coaxed him. Now, about 30 minutes later, he seems to be doing okay. I do believe he went into shock before.

My question is, how do I prevent this from happening? How do I effectively get him into the bowl as safely as possible? I don't want this to happen to him again- he has great sentimental value to me (my grandmother had him, and she passed away a few months ago).

Any educated answer would be greatly appreciated.

rate. The traffic was so heavy and so fast that his chickens were being run over at a rate of three to six a day.

So one day Farmer John called the sheriff's office and said, "You've got to do something about all of these people driving so fast and killing all of my chickens."

"What do you want me to do?" asked the sheriff.

"I don't care, just do something about those crazy drivers!" So the next day he had the county workers go out and erected a sign that said: SLOW--SCHOOL CROSSING

Three days later Farmer John called the sheriff and said, "You've got to do something about these drivers. The 'school crossing' sign seems to make them go even faster."

So, again, the sheriff sends out the county workers and they put up a new sign: SLOW: CHILDREN AT PLAY
That really sped them up. So Farmer John called and called and called every day for three weeks. Finally, he asked the sheriff, "Your signs are doing no good. Can I put up my own sign?" The sheriff told him, "Sure thing, put up your own sign." He was going to let the Farmer John do just about anything in order to get him to stop calling everyday to complain.

The sheriff got no more calls from Farmer John. Three weeks later, curiosity got the best of the sheriff and he decided to give Farmer John a call. "How's the problem with those drivers. Did you put up your sign?"

"Oh, I sure did. And not one chicken has been killed since then. I've got to go. I'm very busy." He hung up the phone.

The sheriff was really curious now and he thought to himself, "I'd better go out there and take a look at that sign... it might be something that WE could use to slow down drivers..." So the sheriff drove out to Farmer John's house, and his jaw dropped the moment he saw the sign. It was spray-painted on a sheet of wood:

Ok I'm 28 and I have some one VERY VERY Close to me in my famliy that I and some other people in my Famliy thinks needs to be checked in to a Mental Health place for a day or two to be checked out.. Now we know they will Not go on there on and Every body tells me that I'm one of three people that can do it, and the other two said they would back me up if I wanted to do it, but that as far as they know , from them going out and asking around about it, Is that I'm the only one that can start the wheels moveing and that they could fight it or est.. but that they had to have me to even start to get it done. seeing as I'm the oldest. now I want to know what it is that I can do.. what I need to do to get it done or where to ture to find the answers that I need.. thanks for your time

ok first of all do you think regal tangs(like dory) and clownfish(like nemo) will get along if u put them together in a tank? Because the clownfish is way small will it get eaten by the regal tang? and also i saw this little fish that was half purple and half yellow about half an inch long. does anyone know what that is called? and also does anyone know what a very small fish is called that is red white and blue? (i saw them at the pet store, but some didnt have names on the tanks.) thats what color they looked anyone. and are all tanks REALLY expensive? also do all tanks need filtration and pumps and all that jazz because that seems like alot of work for just a couple of fish. does anyone know if the fish listed above will get along? or will the fight or eat each other? anyone know any small fish that get along(different species) and that coluld be kept together in a small tank? My dad's job requires him to go overseas and right now he is currently working in China. I never call him in the morning but I decided I would today and it was about 5:00-6:00 a.m. his time. I called the hotel he was staying at, she sent me through, it rang for awhile then a lady picked up the phone and said something in Chinese. So I said, well must be a mishap with the frontdesk calling the wrong room. Then I call his cellphone about 30 mins later and again a lady picks up speaking in Chinese.

Am I being paranoid or is it possible he is cheating? I've been thinking maybe he checked out or got a new cellphone but I just recently talked to him yesterday at the same number...

I didn't tell my mom anything because she would just freak out, what should I do?

my son was doing real good in school and was getting called names and bulled from kids at school and i talked to the teacher ' the principle about this and they said we;ll talk to the kids that were doing it..now the tables have turned and my son is hitting pushing and of course name calling...These 3 kids were calling him gay and morgan ;as his name is Morgan...he had 2 friend and now he has started hitting them and now he cannot even go to their houses as 1 kid told the mom of his problem' which is he can;t keep his hands to himself...he has been i therapy for 3ys and his therapist now sees him every other week ' and i called his boss and said i need him to spend more time with my son as he;s really messing up.. I believe that all the bulling and name calling got us where we are now,If the school would of done something about it instead of ignoring it,,,I don;t know what to do as now he won;t even listen to me and summers coming and i can;t send him to family as we have none.
